Gabriella + the Adirondack Winery = a great experience
Had an amazing time today tasting the wines. Gabriella was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time interacting with her and even recommended her tasting experience to a couple we met in our travels. Would highly recommend this experience to everyone!!
Hi Lynne, we're so glad you enjoyed your tasting. We agree that Gabriella is amazing! Come back anytime!

    Very tasty fruit wines
We stopped here for a wine tasting while passing through the area. We consider ourselves to be “wine snobs”. While our preference is dry red wines, we really enjoyed all the fruit wines we tasted. We tasted 7 wines for $15 and enjoyed them all. We ended up buying a case. They will go well with dessert! Shoutout to Gabriella for a great tasting experience.
Thanks, Dave! We're so glad you enjoyed our fruit-infused wines. We offer some delicious dry reds as well, hope you'll give them a try! Welcome to Case Club!

Hilary is the best. Management needs improvement
Our server Hilary was attentive, knowledgeable, and overall was wonderful. We cannot say the same about our experience with the manager Onyx. We walked in as the website said we could and were told to come back in 15 minutes which was fine. We asked if they wanted a name or number and were told no. We went to a few shops and came back 15 minutes later. When we came back we had the same person greet us (Onyx). We were not recognized and she didn’t know who we were since she didn’t want to take a name or number. We told her how she just told to us come back and were told that we were actually wrong and she was “only at the counter for 5 minutes” and that we have to wait another 10 minutes, which again wasn’t a big deal. The attitude we received from Onyx and the unprofessionalism from her turned us off completely. Hilary really made up for it during our tasting but then at the end Onyx came over when we were packing up and she slammed the tip jar in-front of us without saying a word. I wouldn’t go back to this location just because of this person.
Hello and thank you for this feedback. We agree and think Hilary is amazing too! Thank you for mentioning and we are glad that she did what she always does and provided you with great service! As for the other staff member, they are not a manager and this feedback will be used in an update in training asap. We truly appreciate it.

    Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail
I was doing the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail and stopped in the winery to get my passport code. The staff were busy with other people but I patiently waited until one of them asked to help me. I got my code and then asked a woman who was wine tasting if she could take a picture of my server and myself. You will see the picture below. I've been to the winery many times and have enjoyed many of the wines.
We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. Thank you!

    Cute winery by the Lake
What a great little spot by the Lake! The space was perfect for a few small groups. Our hostess Gabriella was so friendly and helpful. She knew the details about every wine and walked us through the process of selecting the wines and gave us tips about how to best pair them with the snacks we purchased. I would definitely recommend a stop at the winery!
Thank you! We are so happy to hear that Gabby gave you her usual wonderful service and that you enjoyed your visit!

    Great experience good wine!
On a rainy afternoon we stopped in hoping to find a bite to eat and a tasting. How lucky were we to find Gabriella! Her knowledge and suggestions were exceptional and her hospitality was and welcoming. If you are in the area stop by and try the wines, Gabriella won’t let you down. We had the garlicky cheese tray which I also recommend.
Excellent! We're glad that you had a good experience and we hope to see you back!

AMAZING WINES, SERVER, and ATMOSPHERE... So Welcoming!
We visit every year and always have an enjoyable time. Emily served us and was so friendly, polite, and so extremely knowledgeable! The wines we sampled were as always, amazing and we left with 7 bottles! The little snack board we got was also so yummy. The other staff were also very friendly.
That's great to hear! Thank you for your review, please come again!

Absolutely Amazing wine tasting experience with family for unbeatable prices!!
My mom and I went here while on vacation and had an absolutely AMAZING time! Sophia was awesome, so sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. Such an authentic experience, great selection of wines, and the price of tastings ($15.00 for 7 tastings and a free wine glass) you don’t get that where I’m from. Will definitely be coming back on our next vacation in Lake George 🥂
    Excellent! Thank you for sharing!

    Great staff and wine
I went with my husband, and we really enjoyed the experience. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like the tasting was a good deal, and I liked all the wines except one I tried. We arrived about an hour before closing, and people who arrived after us were turned away; so keep in mind when planning your trip.

Took the fun out of wine tasting! You have to pay ahead of time and we paid for eight people, one of our friends was not feeling well and due to Covid we told her to stay home. When we got there we were told there was no refund for her which we understood however we also were not able to use the credit towards purchasing wine or purchasing food. We explained that she was sick and due to Covid we felt it was unsafe for her to join they did not seem to care. Truly our friend wasn’t feeling well and we were being responsible however we lost the money. They also offer a larger glass option which they do not explain to you does not give you more wine it is just a bigger glass. Every time we jokingly ask for more wine the host cited a New York State law To explain to us why we could not have more wine. It was Incredibly boring and the staff was incredibly rude and robotic highly do not recommend

We did a wine tasting mid week, off peak season at the Lake George location. After being informed we needed a reservation, it seemed like the young woman (staff did not have name tags or introduce themseves) who began the reservation was simply annoyed to have to serve us at 4:30 on a Wednesday afternoon with 2 other patrons. Another young woman (dark hair with purple highlights) soon took over and turned things around a bit. She explained everything and began our tasting. She answered several questions asked by my husband. She did not rush us and asked our opinions after each sample. About half way through, this staff turned her attention to another couple who entered, who also did not have a reservation and began explaining the process to them. The first staff person (blonde, dark roots) returned from the back. She asked "so where are you" (with the tasting)? My husband made a joke about being at the top of his list. To which she abruptly responded, "no you're not; you're here" and pointed as if to assume we were trying to get more samples rather than a harmless joke. She then proceeded to rush us through the remaining samples. She hovered over us. My last sample she stated with no interest or inflection "thisislikeahandfulofblueberries". I didnt even understand what she was saying until my husband restated it. As I was lingering on this sample and we were discussing what to purchase, she took my husband's empty glass, wrapped it up, and asked how many bottles we wanted. She was again hovering and as my husband asked me directly if I wanted to take the wine glass, she said "you don't have to take it; we'll just throw it out". At that point, we were extremely turned off by her rude, demeaning behavior. We were going to purchase at least 3 bottles, but the poor service from this one person ruined our experience. We decided to leave with nothing. On a positive note, the store was nice and some of the sweet fruit wines were pleasant (which we were considering purchasing). The reds were not as much to our liking but that's not unusual. The poor customer service just ruined our visit to the point we will not give them any business. I know owners often respond to reviews. However, we are from out of town and not in a position to return or have this situation otherwise addressed.

Hi there - We are so disappointed to learn of your experience. We agree this does not live up to our standards, as you can tell by our reputation. We appreciate the description of your servers and the time of your visit. Could you clarify if your visit occurred on October 2nd? Also, I would invite you to please reach out to us via email at ILOVEWINE AT ADIRONDACKWINERY DOT COM - perhaps we could find the right wine for you at home via shipping. Thank you for your time.

We did the Adirondack Winery tasting on 3/21/21 at noon. There was only one other group of 2 and we each had our own person explaining the wines, so it was like a private tasting. We selected 1 standard and the 1st premium and the first came with 7 tastings and the 2nd came with and additional one for a total of 8. We had Carol lead our tasting and she was exceptional, she explained the wines in detail and answered all our questions. We had opted for a cheese tray for each of us and it was so tasty and paired well with wine. For a total of under $30 we got the two tastings 2 cheese trays and we got to keep the glasses. We bought 6 bottles and received 20% off!

We loved our tasting at the Adirondack Winery tasting room. We got the regular tasting, locavore sampler with crackers, cheese, wine infused jelly, and a truffle. We ended up purchasing the apple cider goat cheese and wine infused jelly to bring home, especially because the two of them together in one bite are heavenly. We also each got a premium sample of wine and were able to purchase extra tastings in addition to our 7 original ones so we were able to try each wine that we were interested in. We learned a while ago that when you have a tasting where you have a lot of options and each get to choose a certain amount, make sure you choose different ones so that you can taste more of them. We both know generally what we will like so we both pretty much loved every one that we tried. Our guide, Kelly, was fantastic! She was so personable and did not once make us feel rushed. We ended up going home with 6 bottles of wine, the jelly and the goat cheese as well as our premium wine glass (which is HUGE and completely awesome-totally worth the $3 upgrade). Thank you Kelly for the wonderful experience and Adirondack Winery for making fantastic and unique wines.

We went around 5 PM on a Thursday evening and had a great time. The wine tasting is beyond affordable, and so are the bottles they sell in the shop.

The service was superb and Molly was extremely helpful when it came to selecting the wines that best fit out palettes.

We got there and let the guy know that we wanted to do a wine tasting but wanted to be out of there in time for the fireworks. We were told hold plenty of time as it ususally takes a maximum of 45 minutes. We filled out the form and started our wine tasting. People started to come in and another group of 5 came in about 10 minutes after we started. The server ran around helping everyone else and when he started working at register, his partner went over to help the group that came in after us and seemed to forget we were there. He even served people that came to the register just for wine slushies. After 15 minutes of noone acknowledging us, my spouse finally got up and decided to leave due to the service. He said he felt like they were going to where they felt they would make the most money. We have been to other wineries where they go around to everyone taking turns so nobody is left waiting for long periods, even people that walk in for bottles or to get slushies. When the server finally did come back all he did was complain when I told him we were leaving about not seeing how busy he was and did not seem to understand why it would matter that he took care of people coming in for wine slushies or the bigger tasting party that came in after us first. Did not seem to think that he should have had to pour our next tasting every so often while doing slushies. Since they take your money before doing the tasting, I ended up paying $21.40 for 6 tastings (3 a piece) and was there for about 40 minutes. Was very disappointed in the service. Ended up leaving with no bottles of wine like we had planned on doing.

Hello. I am so sorry to hear that your recent experience did not meet your expectations. I would love to be able to address this with the staff members who were working at this time. Do you recall who was helping you so that I can make sure we implement proper retraining? We are currently short-staffed so it can be tough to keep up with reservations and walk-ins but we typically try our best to accommodate and serve everyone equally. I would love to discuss this further. If you are more comfortable, please email us at ilovewine@adirondackwinery with more detail so we can take the steps necessary to ensure this does not happen again. I do apologize again and hope you will consider giving us another chance to see how we've improved.

The sign outside the door said, "Walk-ins are welcome, Reservations are recommended." My husband & I looked inside & there were PLENTY of spots open, so we walked in, & found comfortable seating. 2 other sets of couples were in there & a couple just left. We were ignored by 2 workers several times, but we understood, because of everything going on in this world today! We patiently sat for a little longer than 5 minutes without even a hello. Finally, someone approached us with, "Do you have reservations?" We said no. She told us we would have to leave. My husband explained the sign said "Walk-ins Welcome" Abruptly, she said "Nope, you will have to leave!" We were very embarrassed & left, while the other couples eyes followed us out the door. To be perfectly honest, we have been there before, I wasn't a real fan of their wines. We just stopped in for something to do along our walk.

We stopped at the Adirondack Winery to do a wine tasting night. Our host Keeley was amazing and so knowledgeable when it came to the wines that we were sampling. She was so pleasant and gave us such a great experience (so great that I bought 4 bottles of wine!). I would highly recommend stopping by for a wine tasting and make sure to try the slushies!

It was very easy to set up a wine tasting reservation online, and there were plenty of same day slots open as this was a spontaneous plan for us. The winery is very clean and well-organized, with parties being very appropriately spaced apart. You have to purchase food to go with your tasting due to current state COVID regulations, but the snacks to choose from are very affordable. We each had a good sized cheese/cracker sampler for only $5 each, and you could also simply choose a $1 bag of pretzels. As for the wines, what a huge selection to choose from! You could pick 7 out of a long list. There is a wine for everyone as well no matter your taste. We ended up purchasing the Boca Noir to bring home, which was recommended by our server. Fun time!

We participated in a wine tasting on a chilly February Sunday afternoon. We had a reservation for our tasting and had paid in advance. When speaking with another shop owner in town about our scheduled tasting, they remarked that it was good we had a reservation because the owner was strict about social distancing, which made us feel very good! We were 1 of 4 parties seated around the bar area, with ample room between us and the next party. Masks were required and could only be removed when seated.

We enjoyed the cheese plate and cookie/chocolate plate while we sampled 7 wines, all of which were SO good. We also treated ourselves to a cup of warm mulled wine which was delicious.

The hardest part was choosing which wines to take home! Our hostess was very knowledgeable about the wines and the region itself.

Great experience!
