We were charged 185.00 for 4 people to play 9 holes (that is not a typo). That is a ridiculous amount of money for that course. It is nothing more than a billy goat trail with hoaky holes. Rock hard fairways that slope heavily from one side to the other and extremely slow greens. It was a hot humid day and there no water or bathroom stations on the course.
When we checked in at the bar the barmaid/started was extremely rude and seemed annoyed that we were there. I hope one of the managers see's this and challenges me on my review as it is very accurate.
If you want to play a much nicer course a lot cheaper try Hiland Park Country Club down in Queensbury.

We play this course every year. Went to the web found the prices for this year and called and made a tee time. When we got there to check in we found out the web page is wrong and has been all summer. We were supposed to pay $45.00 for each of us (senior rate) and we found out once we got there, not only did they do away with senior rates but we would have to pay $67. Per person for 18 with cart. Now the course is fun but it is definitely not worth that price. Typical bait and switch… there are much better courses in the area for less money and they keep their information up to date do you don’t get scammed. We will never play here again and will tell this info to other locals.

Absolutely the worst golf course I have been on in 40 years of playing. Everything was the worst from the staff being organized to junk golf carts and then there what they call a golf course.
Horrible tee boxes, fairways, sand traps, cart paths and greens. If I didn’t list something it’s not because it wasn’t horrible.
Find any other course and you’ll be thankful you did.

Are fine with minimal service and are traveling with golfers. As it was, we are a couple who were interested in Lake George and found the lodging here a terrible disappointment. We had to request towels and our sheets were not changed for three days. The breakfast crew was attentive but mostly I felt badly for them as it seemed this place was on a steep downhill slide. Can not recommend.

Not sure about the golf since I do not play the game but the location is one of the best in the area. Great view of the Lake. Take the 3 mile ride out of the village on NY 9L, turn up Lockhart Mountain Road (aka Lockhart Road) through the stone gates to the top of the hill. Turn around and take a peek! Outstanding. Stop in and have a drink at the the Golf Course Bar or have lunch at the Grill.

We played the Top of The World as part of a golf weekend with a group. The course is an old style course in good condition, not too challenging, but fair. The views & price are the amazing aspect of this course. Sitting atop of a small mountain overlooking lake George, you really take it all in. The staff was nice and very accommodating, which all in all, made for a fun day of golf.

This is not an easy course and for the price we were very happy and excited to find it so challenging. Beautiful views of lake and some streams, set back in the quiet woods. Highly recommend this course..wear bug spray!!!

Top of the World is the best golf experience in Lake George. Nobody has a better view. It's worth the drive up the mountain just for this! The signature 10th hole looks north on Lake George providing a great view of the lake, boats and mountains. A spectacular hole! The course is well manicured and very lush. The front 9 (original holes) is fairly open, but the back nine is much tighter.

To round out the day, the clubhouse serves great local beers and fresh food. Somewhere on the property there is a farm where fresh produce is harvested daily. Very unique.

I am looking forward to playing and eating at top of the world again!

We were told about the view as we didn't golf. Another OMG of views especially coming down the hill. A ride for something to do

Elaine and the staff go above and beyond to make our family feel right at home. The rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant is always ready to accommodate our wants and needs. The golf is a fun track in really great condition. For the non golfers, we found Pickleball courts in Queensbury . The players there were like all other courts we played. Friendly and welcoming. The convenience to winery’s the village of Lake George, Glenn’s falls and Bolton landing. Looking forward to future stays there.
