The sites were breathtaking! We paid 10 for the carload and dropped at different lookout points to take pictures. Took the shuttle up to the summit which was amazing. We decided to take the trail and walked down and glad we did.

There is no visitor center, just the point where you pay to travel the road to the parking area. There is a hiking path you can access in Lake George Village Lake George Village. It is 4 miles long. We preferred to drive up to the parking area and take the shuttle. You can walk a path from the parking area to the summit in approximately 10 minutes. We hiked back down that way. If you are easily winded, I suggest taking the shuttle up. Otherwise, the hike should be fine from the parking area.

The drive to the top I would say 5 min. Then you have to wait for the bus to take you to the very top. The buses go every 15 min or so. The drive is about 10 min as well they play a video. The rest is up to you how much time you want to spend taking pictures and walking around. We were in and out within an hour with a toddler. In comparison to other mountains we been too this was nothing special so maybe that’s why we didn’t want to waste too much time. Also, there were lots of black flies that were really annoying too.
