We did the 3-mile round trip hike of Prospect Mountain and followed the red markers. Though the trail was steep and challenging at times, it was so worth the reward of a panoramic view of Lake George once you reach the top. Bring hiking sticks, lots of water and bug repellant.

I'm sure this is a 5 star with the exception that you need to know which route to take ...all very ambiguous so do your research. There is a red and blue trail, if you don't realize when it splits you can wind up on the longer blue trail which I read is easier to climb but still
