This is great museum. Honoring the brave people that served our country in peace and war. This shows many facts and aspects that are not well known. Surrender sword of ww2 is here and a lot of other atuff

Visited the American Merchant Marine Museum for the first time. I really enjoyed the museum and all of the ship models. Information relating to the maritime was very interesting. Including the sword of a Japanese Naval Officer who took part in the signing of the surrender. The sword was donated to the museum by General McArthur.

The American Merchant Marine Museum is chalk full World War II marine memorabilia. Along with tons of ship models and other historic marine artifacts. Part of the museum is an historic mansion with beautiful views of Long Island Sound. It captured our teens' attention for about an hour and was well with the stop.
