I personally liked the variety of options available at this place. You could sample 1 oz of wine for $2 which for someone like me is an enjoyable way to try something new. I was pleasantly surprised by one of their rosé and a glass was only $7

We stopped here to listen to live music and get a bite to eat. There were a variety of seating choices, up on the deck or on the ground level in Adirondack chairs, with an amazing view of Keuka lake. My sister and I shared the Gouda burger and tomato and mozzarella panini, both were excellent! We rounded out our meal with a bottle of the rosé Cab Franc, which I selected after a quick tasting. Friendly, helpful staff. We will be back!

Wish we could choose the wines in the flight, but overall very good. They give you your flight and you can go sit on the deck

The only thing positive to say about this winery is that the view is decent. Wine tastings are $14 and you can only choose a white, red, or sweet option. So unless you are with people who are willing to share your experience is very one sided. The wine itself is pretty terrible- while I’m no wine expert I can at the very least tell you when wine is bad and it is BAD.

Nice enough winery with views and nice building with deck and front lawn for tastings and snacks. My problem was that the wine tasting cost was high at ~$15-$16 for a flight of 5 glasses. The pours were very generous. Good for more than one person but for one, I got pretty tipsy. The wine choices were set and I think it cost extra if you wanted to mix wines from other groupings. Not your traditional tasting. Wines were just ok, but got better the more I drank, lol. Maybe good for just a night out with friends but just didn’t like this unique strict format. Sorry. Server was that friendly either which just added to the poor experience. Lots of other wineries in the area that are much more enjoyable.

The owners of Vineyard View have been growing fine wine grapes for years, just not making wine. Now that they have opened a winery, they got it right from the start. We found the wine first on the menu at a very nice restaurant, then went to the winery. Like most of the Finger Lakes the really spectacular wines are white, at least to our tastes. We brought home several bottles to add to our cellar.

With a two day time frame and an empty Keuka Lake Wine Trail passport, we drove from Hammondsport to the top of the lake and started at Vineyard View. The view was of much more than the vineyard and the location high on a hill on the north end of the lake was truly spectacular. Wines were enjoyable and we purchased a couple bottles of some of the best chardonay ever...real oakey and buttery and just plain good.

Wine is all a matter of taste. We found one wine we liked out of our tasting selection. However, they did not have any crackers or pairing items that we found at other places. They do have a great view of the area and that is worth a visit. Their white were better (again in our opinion) than the reds.
In fairness we came closer to closing time and we felt a bit rushed. Part our fault and part their fault.
Signage getting to the place was small and we almost drove by the street.
Attention: Military (active, retired, vets) they offer 20% discount in addition to other discounts.

Wines were very good...vuews were spectacular. Our server seemed like she would rather be somewhere else. We were only Ines there and we seemed to be bothering her. Too bad as we enjoyed the wines

are there limos available to help with the tour?

Limos are available in the entire Finger Lakes area so a person or group can visit multiple vineyards and wineries. Look up on internet for access to. If you are visiting just a few per day, there are so many within short distance, most people drive to each. However, if you're doing more than a couple it's highly recommended for safe driving to have a DD or hire a limo. There's even a service in PennYan--signs up on poles for indivual who has a service of driving your car for you. I can't remember name but should be listed if you google.
