Had a wonderful hike to Falls and then around the Lake at Minnewaska State Preserve. Very well maintained, easy mild inclines, beautiful vistas. Making some improvements, more to come and increased parking. Pretty busy on a great weather Saturday!

The best view I have ever seen. A nice lake to swim in and great hiking trails I can’t think of one bad thing about it.

On a beautiful summer day, we took this short and easy hike along Hudson Valley. Gertrude' Nose Loop Trail started at a beautiful lake and totaled 7.8 miles with just 1600 ft total ascent. It took us about 3.5 active hours (plus bunch of breaks...More

What a fantastic place to unwind with a breathtaking hike around waterfalls and also go swimming! The drive through the mountains to get there was also beautiful. There was plenty of parking and the trails were wide.

It's beautiful! 4 season playground. It's much cheaper then Mohonk Preserve and the new redone trails are great. Good swimming. The views are fantastic. We brought our bikes. Enjoy a real treasure in the Gunks.

Beautiful views from the top of the mountains. You can go hiking and swimming in the Minnewaska Lake. There’s also a waterfall nearby. Bring food, gear up for walking and enjoy Mother Nature.

Beautiful views, rode bikes on carriage trails.. had some difficulty negotiating directions with maps that were available. Park ranger concurred. That said, still a great place to explore.

We came here during a hot summer day. The walk to the waterfall was like 5 minutes and we took a short walk around it. The waterfall is nothing spectacular but the trail along the river was tranquil. The lake is at the parking lot...More

We stopped on a rainy day and did the quick walk to the waterfall. Absolutely worth visiting. Trail is super easy and fast. Waterfall is beautiful! You can view CAREFULLY from above and then continue to walk down to the bottom. Signs say no swimming.

The 3km walking track around the lake should be fine for young kids.
