After 35 years of hiking these mountains, I still am endlessly entertained by what nature has in store...whether it is bobcat tracks in the snow, blueberry bear scat in the summer, or rock scrambles with friends, the mountain always gives.

Great reward with little risks. You get beautiful views with a low level of intensity or danger. This is a very well kept trail and suitable for any level of experience.

I highly recommend the Gertrude's Nose hike! The trails were very well signed. Be aware that on a beautiful fall day during peak leaf peeping time, the park will be packed and you most likely will have to park at the base parking and hike...More

Beautiful park, but it was so overcrowded we had to leave and lost our $10. There was no place to park, and the porta potties were overflowing and disgusting. There should be a limit to how many people can enter in the fall. They are supposed...More

The park is open, trails might be closed for hiking due to snow, but there is snowshoeing. The trail around the lake can be done in an hour.
