If you Love Lucy, you'll love this museum
Jul 2021
The museum was more and larger than I expected. You'll love learning new facts about Lucy and Desi's histories as well as seeing and reading all that you've seen on TV and in the movies.

Quick Visit for Lucy
Jul 2021
The museum is in 2 parts but still small in size. It will not take long to tour even if you linger on the exhibits.

If a Lucy fan, this is a must do. For casual fans, a good time filler but not sure if I would make a trip just for this museum. Paired with the Comedy Museum and it make a good day trip.

The best part was the sets from the TV show. They were interesting and full of detail. The other items were good, just overall smaller than you would expect from their long careers.

I Love Lucy even more!!!
Jul 2021
This was a great museum. Full of the history of Lucy & Desi, both before & after their renowned TV show. A good mix of audio, visual, & written information. Learned lots of new facts & loved laughing at clips from both the I Love Lucy show & many of Lucy's movies. The staff could have been a little more friendly & helpful, but the museum is well maintained & easy to find.

Fun and memorable
Jul 2021
dated and quite a few empty walls in these two buildings(on the same street; separated by 1 or 2 other stores); but if you loved Lucy shows like I did, it is a fun museum...mostly sets, show memorabila; some movie and tv clips...a big gift shop in each building...

Thanks for the Memories

Simply delightful to wander through the museum and relive my childhood memories of I Love Lucy and to be more informed on her long career and Desi's too.

Very interesting museum full of I love Lucy memorabilia to include two TV sets and a movie set. Nice closed loop video of Lucy's film career outside of TV, Military discount. Nice gift shop.

Great dedication to Lucy and Desi
Jun 2021
A nice tribute to a comedy legend team. We got tickets through a special promotion at our hotel and got there first thing. The place is divided into an East and West Gallery and while everyone went to the West, we decided to go to the East.

The East Gallery is about the "I Love Lucy Show" and contains numerous costumes, props, sets (like their apartment and the Hollywood Hotel room) and various equipment used to shoot the show. It is a step back in the past and a great tribute to the show and it's stars. They have a nice gift shop and a well placed and clean bathroom.

Probably the best museum I have seen dedicated to a single show or movie.

We then went to the West Gallery which focused more on Lucille and Desi themselves. They had items from both of there pasts, home movies, Desi's records, Lucille's dresses from various movies and specials and Lucy's Gold Mercedes. They were making some updates to the place but still nice when include the East Gallery.

They have a brochure which also gives a map to see the local murals from the show and a map to find Lucy's birth home, her childhood home, her Memorial Park and where she is buried.

A very nice and well laid out museum.

loved the place!

a must for all Lucy fans, of course didn't cover the early Lucy career which was a bit shady, only the Lucy we all remember which is fine. The Desi stuff was so interesting, they could have a biography on his life alone if it hasn't been done already in addition to Lucy's. Too bad they only have "replicas" of the tv set, wonder what happened to the real stuff, all in all, very interesting. the seating for the videos shown could definetely be upgraded, one area just had a few movable chairs.

Book Tickets Carefully
Jun 2021 • Family
This review isn’t about the actual museum but about the company who is in charge of ticket sales, Viator. We made a reservation and realized we would no longer be in the area when the tour was scheduled. We called and tried to have it moved or cancelled and Viator would not help us. Their policy is that you can cancel or change your tour as long as it is at least 24 hours in advance. We called at 12 and the tour wasn’t until 3:30 the next day. They refused to help us because they said it has to be at least 1 calendar day in advance and not 24 hours like their cancellation policy says. If that is the case, they should not say at least 24 hours in advance. This is a very deceptive practice. They are just trying to take your money and not trying to actually help. Be careful booking with them. I would not trust them at all!
