I booked a reservation last weekend and was very excited. I’ve been to what I thought was all of the wineries in the region yet this was going to be my first time at Clovis.

I made reservations for the 3:30 to 6:30pm session under the tent (outside). I got there a bit early and had to wait for the time slot. The staff all seemed very lovely but the older European man, no doubt the owner, was very unpleasant to my friend and I even upon first entry and it followed through for the brief visit. He did not want to seat me as I requested in my reservation even though it was early and still 80% empty. The owner made it seem like he was accommodating us and doing us a favor by seating us at all.

So of course he doesn’t know me. The only thing he could judge me by is my appearance therefore I have to assume he was simply an old RACIST since there were no other minorities at the winery and there was no other reason for the open animosity he showed us in both demeanor and choice of words.

I had a lovely day elsewhere!!! I will not spend my money somewhere I’m not welcome!!

I called to make a reservation for 3 people. Right of the bat, they were rude and demanded a $60 deposit. When we arrived, they seated us at a table and said there were no wine tastings due to Covid (would have appreciated if they shared this policy when I called because other wineries in the area were permitting tastings). They also said we were required by NY state law to order food along with our wine, so we ordered spinach dip, prosciutto and brie cheese. The waitress dumped the food on our table—it looked like it came straight from Costco’s (everything was pre-packaged). The food was disgusting and there were a lot of bees coming by so we threw it out in the nearby garbage. Then, a staffer comes by and rudely accuses us of not ordering food. We told her we ordered and threw it away but she didn’t believe us, insinuated we were lying, and went to our waitress to verify. Then she came back and left a box of crackers on our table so we had food on it —no apology, nothing. My friends and I were so upset about the way we were treated, so we left immediately. We were the only 3 people of color in the establishment and felt very discriminated against. This place has nasty food and even nastier attitudes.

I came here solo to sample the wines of Clovis Point. Heather seated me quickly as I was the only one here. I tried a tasting of all their wines. 6 samples, 3 white, 3 red at the cost of $25 which is average for this region.
I enjoyed all the wines and ended up buying the Rose and the Merlot. Both fantastic.
Admittedly, a weird visit being alone and absolutely nothing going on. If there was something going on, would I have been alone? One will wonder. Due to this, an average visit.

My wife and I stopped for a tasting.
I’ll start by saying we don’t drink white wine and we not big on New York wines.
Staff is very nice.
We tasted the reds which were pleasant but not complex.
We had dip and Brie which they serve much too cold.
Overs nice experience.

8.6.22 Meticulous grounds. Friendly staff to help with wine selection. Great cheeses and wines. Nothing beats sitting outdoors sipping good wine on a summer day. This is the perfect place for friends, family, dates, etc.

Our visit was wonderful. The staff was very informative and entertaining. The wine was delicious! A special thank you to Heather, Gina and Ryan for their kindness. We’ll be back, but for now we will be enjoying our wines we purchased back up in Boston.

We spent a beautiful but cold Saturday afternoon during Valentines weekend at Clovis. We had the chocolate and wine tasting combo which was sweet. The live music was a nice touch.

My friends and I took a trip to this place this past Saturday. Our group of 7 came in 2 separate cars so technically you could call us 2 smaller groups.

It just so happened that at the same exact time we pulled up to the place a limo entered the parking lot.

As my friends and I walked toward the building employee after employee asked us if we came from the limo to which we responded "no" to at least 2 people.

Upon entering the place it looked nice on the inside. The cool air conditioning felt great and we were all ready for a wine tasting.

Then suddenly the owner comes into the building and said, "Don't serve these guys, they came from the limo" to which we all responded no. The owner didn't believe us and we left the premises and went to some other nearby wineries.

We couldn't believe the audacity of the owner!! Unbelievable! Way to lose out on potential customers. I really hope he reads this review. Tripadvisor let me pick 1 star, but I would have left zero for your stubborn headed discrimination. I mean what possesses someone to do that? As the owner wouldn't you want to be welcoming to customers?

To everyone who reads this, do yourself a favor and skip this winery. There are much better, livelier, and friendlier wineries just mere minutes away from this one. Wineries with people enjoying themselves with some tasty wine.

Oh and I forgot to add that one of the employees did end up apologizing for the owner after they all saw us roll out of there in our cars. The twist was that the limo apparently was for the guy's son and his friends, something weird like that. Just do yourself a favor and skip this place.

I'd like to give it no stars. Today we tried to use a Groupon after driving 1.5 hours out to the winery. The woman did not even address me directly, but saw the Groupon and said, "We're not taking Groupon today. It's a black out date." There are no black out dates on the Groupon, but she said it's "subject to availability". Well, there was only one other guest at the bar, so I'm not sure how much more availability she'd need. Your loss; spent my money down the road. It's not like you're the only game in town. Total waste of my time.

The staff is wonderful, the wines excellent and the tasting room inviting. The owner (Nash Misk), manager (Kelly) and staff will do everything possible to make your experience one to remember! Believe me, you will want to visit Clovis Point again and again! Enjoy Clovis Point wines in their cozy tasting room, outside patio under a beautiful canopy or on their lovely lawn. Their wine club membership program is a great opportunity to enjoy Clovis Point wines all year long! We joined their wine club during our first visit, you will too! Cheers!
