Going to Forest Hills for a concert than the LIRR is the way to travel. Hop on at crazy PENN Station and make sure you are in the first 6 cars as that is all that will fit on the platform at Forest Hills. They...More

Great way to get into the city from Jamaica station. Just always remember to buy your ticket prior to boarding as the metro card does not cover this. Trains are air conditioned which is great and plenty of room for large cases as well

We hopped on, relaxed, and hopped off. Train was clean and smooth riding. It was a treat to be able to see some additional skylines and city from the train.

The best thing the LIRR did for them-self and I was the Atlantic ticket. It is truly a WIN win. Some of the trains/card need to be upgraded but it's still better than the subway.

LIRR absolutely provides the worst train service. Cost goes up and service goes down. We have been having switch problems for years and they stil don’t fix it.

We took the LIRR to Manhattan on the Montauk branch. The diesel trains are a very smooth ride into the city. They are also much cleaner than the electric trains. Bathroom on filthy. Only major complaint.
