Bicycle or walk and enjoy
May 2021
We walked part of this trail with our dog & rode the entire length on our bicycles (and back). the trail is interesting with varied scenery (along the water). Many points of interests such as playgrounds, dog park, farmers market, etc along the way. Flat and paved. Connects to the Treman state park.

A Great Trail to Visit!
Sep 2019
We walked along this trail after we had visited the Farmers Market. It's a great trail and a must to see if you are visiting Ithaca!

A Beautiful Place For A Strole

I love the Cayuga Waterfront. It's long and so lovely. I recommend that you go at sunset, it's spectacular at that time.

A Scenic Way to Stay in Shape
Apr 2018 • Couples
The trail is a great way to get up close and personal with the southern end of Cayuga Lake. The trails are basically flat and are no effort to walk. Take advantage of the toilets near the ball fields and the Ranger's Office at the marina.

Nice walking trail
Sep 2017 • Couples
Located along the inlet of Cayuga Lake. Nice walking trail. Close to the water and nature. Trail is several miles long if you walk the full length. It goes from the East side of the lake to the West side.

Hardy trail

Lots of steps to climb but very worthwhile. Many waterfalls and great scenery leading to university campus.

Accessible and Beautiful
Apr 2017 • Friends
It's very easy to get to the several access points for the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. It's friendly for walking, jogging/running, biking, rollerblading and more. Dogs are very welcome on a leash and there are bins around the parks for pet waste disposal. On any given day, you will experience Ithaca's love of the outdoors and see people taking advantage of the Inlet, ball-playing fields, playgrounds and marina.

The trail is mostly flat, making it one of the most accessible walking experiences in Ithaca.

How can I say enough good about this?
May 2016 • Solo
This is such a fabulous civic trail. I know one of the dreamers who made this happen. The trail is now a reality that connects across the city of Ithaca and is perfect for short or long runs or walks. Please check it out.
If you aren't sure where to start, I recommend Cass Park - great start for runners - or Ithaca Children's Garden - perfect starting point for families with children.

A town with a lake

Great place to see Ithaca from another perspective. Enjoy the sounds and sites of nature that inhabit the lake as well as get your walk in for the day with a friend or enjoy alone time to think. I find much inspiration for my writings and teachings on this trail.

A beautiful walk by the water! Lots of benches to sit along the way and pretty views of the areas around Cayuga Lake Inlet.
