After a few days of hiking & staying at firelight camp, we rewarded ourselves with full deep tissue massages for 60 minutes. The rooms are very clean and well lit when you walk in, the light are dimmed during massage & instrumental music plays gently. Phoenix was friendly, pleasant, professional, gave special attention to my problem areas that I mentioned. Rebekah worked on other family member & also had wonderful things to say about the massage. Was peaceful, serene, extremely relaxing massage.

My husband got me a gift voucher to August Moon Spa for Christmas and I couldn’t have been happier. Today was my first visit to this spa and it surely will not be my last. I was greeted by a friendly women who gave me a robe and slides and then showed me around the spa. I start the spa treatment with a 60 minute massage by Lisa. The pressure was prefect and the massage was great! I had 15 minutes before my facial which I spent in the relaxation room with a fireplace. I enjoyed a cup of tea while lounging in front of the fireplace. Salamar was my esthetician. She was amazing! I have had several facials in my life and this one was one of the best I have ever had. She also waxed my eyebrows which I’m very happy with. My time spent at August Moon was very relaxing and I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait to go back for another morning of pampering.

On a recent girls getaway we had a half day spa at August Moon.
I had the Waterfall treatment, mini facial and Reflexology.
Walking Into the spa we all smiled thinking we were in for a great afternoon.
Mimosas were served to us as we registered. The main greeting area is beautiful and we found out that all products used are made by the owner/manager of the spa.
The whole lay out of the spa is gorgeous and relaxing. They had a waterfall room and a fireplace room to relax in.
My first treatment was the Waterfall. It was the first time I experience this sort of treatment and I enjoyed it. I have one complaint though, I feel the girl treating me was in a hurry and this took away from my overall experience.
My next treatment was supposed to be the mini facial but I discovered they booked the facial and my Reflexology at the same time! I went with it and later regretted that decision. Having both treatments at the same time was overwhelming, I couldn’t concentrate on one thing at a time. The facial was fine but the Reflexology was terrible. I was taken into the room for these two treatments and 35 minutes later I was leaving!! I am a RAC Certified Reflexologist and I can tell you, I know what a reflexology treatment is….what I had at August moon was a foot massage with lotion, I was very disappointed especially considering what they charged. Speaking of charges, it took us 45 minutes to sort out our Spa bills because they were mixed up in the computer. It took three people from the spa to figure it out.
I will return to La Tourelle but I will not return to August Moon Spa. I suggest you go elsewhere if you want a spa getaway.

I called because I was running late and asked if they have availability to move down my appointment. I was told yes they did but they would charge me a fee to move the appointment. They hotel was empty and the check in desk even told us the entire hotel checked out today. So the spa had both availability and should have offered a hotel guest in particular who was running late and had two services booked to move down her appointment at no charge. I felt like I would not be able to relax if I had been rushed or annoyed at being charged. So I canceled both services. The manager called me later because the receptionist took down my credit card number wrong and they could not charge me the late fee. I allowed them to charge my hotel room and explained I was on trip advisor writing about this. At that point the spa manager agreed to only charge me ONE late fee instead of two. She lost two services over a late charge when they could have accommodated me just one hour later. ** my advice to those who are reading this is to only book at August moon last minute or check out the many massage and spa places at the commons.

My Mom, Aunt and I came for a spa day during Tranquility Hour. We had facials, soaks and I had the Taughannock Falls Waterfall Treatment. The waterfall treatment was very enjoyable and relaxing and I would recommend it. All of the providers gave excellent service. The relaxation rooms were very nice as well. The locker area and dry sauna were a little small when there were several guests at the same time. The only other note that I will mention is that we were staying overnight at the hotel and my mom and aunt wanted to tack on a makeup consultation that was on special for the next morning and were not allowed to have the special pricing. We were staying at the hotel and eating dinner at the restaurant and it seems this accommodation could have been made. Basically, it just resulted in the spa not getting three additions services the next morning from us. But overall, I enjoyed the spa and would return.

I got a gentleman's facial here a few days ago and it was absolutely perfect! The staff is knowledgeable, and kind and highly recommend this spa. Also, try their soaks!

My kids gave me a gift certificate for my 50th birthday and it was amazing. First of all this is a very classy, upscale spa. The all natural products are so refreshing. I received a sugar scrub and massage. They were both so relaxing and delightful. My husband also went with me and got a massage. He never does anything like that and his experience was awesome. What a wonderful place!

I purchased the Girlfriend Package for my girlfriend and mother in law for my girlfriend's graduation. They had a great time, facials, massages and manicure according to them were well made, staff was very professional and friendly. The had an amazing morning. I am not familiar with spa prices but as a graduation present it was definitely worth it.

My wife an I choose the couples massage which we were very happy with. Two young ladies (sorry, I forgot their names) gave us great massages, very professional. Small but well stocked products area too.

After hiking, my friend and I got a couples massage and it was great! Very relaxing and we were able to take advantage of the calming rooms, sauna and steam room after. Easy to make reservations via phone.
