The setting is why this is somewhat special. The booths and offerings are average at best. I'd try to find something else to do. Parking as reviewed is poor.

If you want a place to try foods from around the world, this is your place. I saw multicultural foods. There were several items from farmers. This market was geared more towards food in my opinion than local farmers but there is a big selection. I gave it average because we didn't buy anything which is odd for us as... More

Walking through the Ithaca farmers market on a Saturday afternoon right before it closes was one of my highlights from my last trip to Ithaca. My boyfriend and I lazily strode into the mesh of people, booths, and light conversation in the haze of the misty humid afternoon. The scene was very ethereal and could have come straight from a... Love the setting in open air "barn-like" building on the lake. Lots of local produce, fruits, breads, honey, etc. Some more upscale booths with bees wax soaps, cheeses, wood products (bowls, etc). Loved the gyros and wood fire pizza food booths. Apple cider booth had some yummy items. Excellent cinnamon buns, large sour cream cookie and raspberry tart at one... More

Parking is difficult and competitive, so we recommend renting a bike from Ithaca Bike Rental and bike the (20ish minute) paved trail to the market. Farmer's market is Cash only, but there is an atm, and you can get lunch (thai, cambodian, japanese, vegan, spanish, breakfast burritos, greek etc.), fresh butchered meat, in season veggies, hand made crafts <3. All... More

The market was in a nice setting, but not quite worth the detour we took to visit. There were plenty of fresh vegetables, flowers, we bought some nice local cheese and a loaf of fresh baked bread. I would recommend if you are in the area, but somehow it fell short of an attraction of its own. We visited on... More

Stopped here to wander about, and ended up staying for a picnic by the water. Parking is somewhat lacking if you come at the busiest time. Great selection of stuff, even when there isn't an abundance of in-season produce.

The market is situated on the Cayuga Lake waterfront. under an old-fashion covered roof and wood flooring. It encompasses a huge array of crafts, flowers, fruits and vegetables, wine, hard cider, plants and arts and crafts from vendors no more than 50 miles from the Ithaca area. The selection is fresh and amazing. My recommendation is to come early on... More

Clean, pretty, but crowded with expensive soap makers and "artisanal" cheesemakers. A nice place to people watch and eat lunch , but definately NOT for buying food to stock your kitchen. All of the plant vendors are very expensive, too, but at least they have interesting items.

The Ithaca Farmers Market is the place to be on weekend mornings in the spring and summer. Vendors are limited to a geographic radius, so all the vendors are local. It's a great place to go for fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, and some excellent specialty food.
