This is an awesome farmers market that has something for everyone. Wineries (tastings not available during COVID), international foods, local crafts, etc. It is located in an out of the way place next to the lake. I highly recommend showing up to eat breakfast (or brunch) and take your food and sit next to the lake and eat. There are so many vendors and foods that you could spend well over an hour tasting and looking.

Stopped at the farmers market after a long hike and was very impressed with the safety precautions. The market only allowed in so many people at a time and when you eat you must leave the market area and eat at one of the many picnic benches along the lake. Got some delicious apple butter, coffee, and breakfast crepes. It was a bit crowded around 11am but plenty of parking and spots to sit

Please visit Ithaca Farmers Market. Procure your coffee from Silent City Uprising, then wander the myriad sellers and artists of this market. The rustic setting on the water adds to the off-the-grid '70's feeling.

After a couple of hours here, we felt as if we should go back to our commune, check the temperature of the compost, raise more free range chickens. Chop firewood with a hand sharpened ax.

There is live music, boat rides. Tarry and chat.

Ithaca Farmers Market is an enriching experience,

This market is under a pavilion with no sides yet u have to wait at least 30 min to enter. Long line! Then beware because if u purchase hot food or a beverage and vendor tells you there are picnic tables you wiill br out and not allowed back in without another line. You cannot eat anything uner roof even at an empty stall. Note that ny does have indoor eating now. The people in charge could try giving those at picnic area a voucher to re enter without a long wait. One wait a day is enough. Or put signs about eating riule outside for waiting customers to see. It is only 3 aisles mostly veggies anyway Avoid this spot. Not customer friendly.

Hi there- Thank you for the feedback. We are asking customers to wait in line to enter the pavilion to keep crowds inside to a minimum. We have no way to monitor/section off an eating area inside to pavilion - which is why it's only permitted outside at picnic tables. We are working on better signage to alert customers of all the rules. We hope you enjoyed the non-crowded shopping experience once inside, and we thank you for following our COVID rules.

I LOVE Farmers Markets, so when we planned our trip to Ithaca a trip to the market was definitely on our itinerary. In fact, our trip began on a Sunday and we made sure we left home in plenty of time to visit the market after our 4 hour drive. There are so many different vendors and food options. If I lived locally, I would've purchased a lot more, but I settled on apples, peppers, and potatoes (And honey sticks for the kids!). The lunch we grabbed at On The Street Pita was very good as well. We were disappointed that it was cold and overcast though. We would've like to grab a bench by the water to enjoy our lunch. There were a few stands to get coffee, but none that featured tea. If you are in Ithaca, you need to go to the market! We also checked out the Tuesday market at Dewitt Park. There was only one table, but I got some kale and cabbage and was quite content.

Great place to visit, if I lived locally I would be a regular. Lots of places to a snack - all kinds of food. Fresh produce and goods from local vendors, fruit, vegetables, wines, cider, baked goods. Plus local artisans for jewelry, artwork, clothing etc. Lots of outside seating by the lake to eat or stop and rest for a while. All stalls were full.

Delightful spot on the waterfront with an assortment of crafts, produce, baked goods and prepared foods. In a non-pandemic year I go almost every weekend. If crowds are not your thing go early (as close to opening as possible) but if you don't mind crowds and lines go later and enjoy lunch there and live music. Forty weight coffee, Just Desserts pastries, Littletree cider and doughnuts, On the Street Pitas are all great options but I am leaving dozens out.

The wait is very long and since we were tourists, we couldn't buy vegetables and fruit. The vendors were nice, but I don't recommend the wait for 3 rows of mostly fresh produce. Oh, and if you buy a snack you have to exit and not come back in without another long wait. We waited 30 minutes and the line was longer when we left.

I love supporting local businesses, but I can't really say this is worth a diversion. We enjoyed it as a quick stop after a hike to grab a lunch. Some nicely prepared food / snacks here. But overall, there wasn't much here. probably >25% of the stalls were empty. Wondering if the local praise in the reviews is from a bit of a different point in time than when we went.

We came here last fall and had a delightful time. We especially enjoyed buying and devouring several baked goods. There is so much fresh food of all kinds. The atmosphere is lovely with the wood floors and so close to the lake.
