I always parked at the Green Street Garage for convenience. The Commons is a great place to buy those typical t-shirt/mug/magnet souvenirs and there is a nice array of places to eat and specialty stores, too. The used bookstore is amazing! And you are blocks...More

Coming from Boston, Ithaca's downtown was very underwhelming but still a nice place to stroll around. Various shops and restaurants. Parking is tricky but I'm used to that coming from Boston. I still stroll around every once in a while when I come to Ithaca.

they close it down for extensive renovations from time to time however when they reopen it, the merchants have all suffered for seemingly nothing., some of my single friends don't feel comfortable walking to it and from it at night..

Stayed at the Marriott and walked the commons. Driving and parking is a bit of a challenge, parked the car and walking around the various shops and restaurants was just what we were looking for.

The commons has more stores and restaurants than I remember from 5 years ago. A wide variety of eateries, bars and shops. Worth a walk around.
