We were there for the first tour of the day on a Thursday during Easter break. We ended up being the only group on the tour (5 in our family). Tour guide was personable and informative. Really enjoyed it. Not a big cave, so be prepared to duck at a few points, and wear good footwear as it is wet. The walkway is narrow, so probably not good for claustrophobic people. Price was reasonable, and gift shop items are priced well too. It is cash only, so just be prepared. Definitely recommend :)

Having been to Howe Caverns before, we were drawn here by the underground waterfall and the promise of a less commercial experience. We entered the lodge and paid for our admission $60 for family of four. We were prompted to enter as a tour was already beginning. The tour guide had already started but that didn't matter because there were so many people in that group we couldn't hear anything clearly or see what he was talking about. We just stood single file in a narrow cavern until everyone started moving again at a fast pace. There were times it felt like we almost had to run to catch up. We heard none of the tour guide because they allowed the group to get so large.

After reaching the waterfall everyone was clamoring to get their pictures by the waterfall and it is chaotic. Afterwards we are told to make our way back up.... no rush as long as we are back up before the next horde needs to come down. Guide followed behind turning off lights. Overall it felt like a rushed experience with little to no information since we could not hear the guide 20 people ahead of us.

The lodge and gift shop were worn down, creepy and selling all sorts of items not from the area or having anything to do with the caves. Lots of acrylic encased small animal skeletons, kids candy and bulk polished rocks that can be found in any gift shop from an amusement park to campgrounds. This whole set up felt like a conveyor belt designed to funnel cash straight into the owners pockets.

Terrific underground cave with a special features. You will discover a new world in the cave. There are so many features and natural creations throughout the cavern. There is so much to learn about before you get to the highlight of the waterfall. A special place. We had a great tour guide with a sense of humor and enthusiasm for what he does. This is a visit for all ages. I work in a school and look forward to taking students here when the pandemic is over.

This cave is a must see for nature lovers 😍 absolutely amazing feeling to walk in the serenity of this cave. Love the creatures and waterfalls is beyond expectations. Love every moment of if. I took few videos and lots of pictures since no restrictions of taking pictures but theres nothing better to be there and experience the sounds of natures beauty and seeing the fountain of youth and these caves stuffs. You must wear a sturdy shoes because of walking down the 103 foot and needs sweater. If you can bring extra watershoes is absolutely a plus for Instagram pictures for waterfalls photoshoots. And our tour guide is really a cool guy give extra tips on the wishing well if you can!

Wonderful experience and you can even touch formations! 103 stairs down with handrails (wear gloves to aid in grip and keep hands warm!) The 100’ waterfall at the end is the final gem! Great tour with humor and knowledge. Not for the claustrophobic!

If you are planning on going to Howes Cavern and see the hand painted signs for Secret Caverns and find yourself wondering which to go to, let me tel you go to Secret Caverns! You won’t regret it!

It’s a much friendlier atmosphere and is far less commercialized than Howes Cavern. It’s a very unique experience down in the cavern. The tour guides are fantastic and do a great job explaining things to you and educating you.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this as a must see! You won’t regret it!

This is a great experience for me as we were going inside a cave which has a drastic temperature change inside than outside. The path towards the fall is full of rocks that have a calcium deposited on them this making that amazing to see. There are a lot of different rock formations there that are very nice to see. The fall is nice and the origin of it is not seen. I was really amazed to see this place and would recend to visit on your way to Niagara.

I was not impressed with this cavern at all. The staff was very discombobulated when we arrived. They charged me $16 for admission but then when my mom paid for hers they said she got a discount because a tour bus was in and only charged her $10. I had to tell them I had been charged $16 and they gave me six bucks back. Then they gave me a ticket to get in, but not my mom. Which didn't matter anyway since they never took the tickets. We were lumped in with a foreign speaking tour bus which was okay with me, but not for the people who worked there. Our tour guide said we were more than welcome to push the bus group around and tell them off since they didn't understand English anyway. We rushed through the caverns because our tour guide didn't see the point of talking about anything when the majority of the group didn't speak English and then told the English people in the group to go first to the waterfall and he would hold back the bus group because they would be pushy and annoying. There's also a fountain of youth down there that people can apparently drink from (not that I would have on any day) but were told not to because a foreign group had already been by earlier in the day. I was very offended by the treatment of our group and not at all impressed with the caverns themselves. You're allowed to touch anything in the caverns which actually stops growth of the formations, so everything down there was dirty and dying. If you want a nice group of employees who are not a bunch of bigots and gorgeous caverns, go to Howe Caverns instead.

Seems like a tourist trap when you first arrive .the cavern isn't nearly as nice as Howe Caverns BUT the 100 foot underground waterfall is incredible !

Of the two places to visit in howes' cave area, this is by far the better, less commercial one to tour. with a maximum of 20 people to each guide, it was more intimate, and more authentic to years ago. It was also 9.00 where howe caverns was 27.00. And here there was an underground waterfall
