At the great cave of the Northeast, an elevator takes you 156’below ground. The doors open into a prehistoric underground cavern 6,000,000 years in the making! Trained tour guides help negotiate the cave and teach about its magnificent natural features. Back on the surface, mine for gemstones at Howe Caverns Mining Co. Beginning summer 2011, enjoy the first phase of Howe High Adventures—featuring ropes courses, climbing walls, zip lines and more!

Great for kids.

The walk through the cave was great. This is a great place to take the kids, they especially like the boat ride. The roasted nuts from the sweet shop were delish!

My husband and I stayed at the hotel and got the package deal. We greatly enjoyed the cave tour and the H2OGO Ball. We are looking forward to a return visit with the grandkids. We didn't have time for the entire experience but what we did we really enjoyed.

Don't be swayed by the website. The zip line is a square; 30 feet, then stop and start again, then 30 feet then stop. It is incredibly slow and boring. When we were there the H20 ball was not working. I bought the motel package which included an adventure park ticket for my son. $55 for just about nothing. The... More

It's been over 10 years since we've been to Howe Caverns and certainly enjoyed our revisit. Our guide, Mallorie, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and funny. Our entire group was surprised to hear that this was only her 3rd week giving tours. She was great!!

My daughter fondly remembers being there with me about 30 years ago and this time we took her daughter (7) and son (3) and husband. All enjoyed the adventure. We only did the cave.

If you haven't been to Howe Caverns recently, then you do not know what you are missing? There is so much to do there other than just visiting the cave. They have many things to do after you visit the cave, like 4 Tower Zip Line, H2OGO Balls, Ropes Course, Rock Wal, Mining Company and a Air Jumper. The Adventure... More

This was a cool tour. The caverns attraction is well-kept and includes a short boat ride. The tour guide was entertaining and informative. It was about 50 degrees in the cavern so you probably want to wear a long-sleeved shirt or jacket while on this tour. There is an opportunity to purchase a photo, which I do recommend unless your... I've been 4 times over a 20 year span and it's still pretty amazing and engaging. While little kids are fine, I don't think they'd really be into it (for the duration of the 90 min tour anyway) until at least age 6-7. I took my son around age 5, and again age 10 just today and he was way... More

Yes, it is a little pricey but it was just the right pace and length of time (90 minutes) to keep us all engaged. Weather was spectacular but it wouldn't have mattered since this is a rain or shine place to visit. We were ushered right in first thing on a Saturday morning and there were no crowds. It was... This is an awesome tour. Our tour guide Justin was friendly and funny and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. It is cold down there, so definitely bring a jacket or hoodie. The tour is about 1-1/2 hours long but well worth it.
