The aqueduct is not in the historic center of Queretaro as we assumed but a little way off by car. It is there and it was an aqueduct, but it doesn't appear to be in use. We found no place anywhere along the aqueduct that...More

We enjoyed the city tour for de Acueduct purchased in any of the tourism offices in downtown. 90 mxn per adult, and very knowledgeable tour guides we enjoyed experience nicely. Tip reserve tour with time, some times busy can take up to 3 hours, you...More

No matter how many times I return to this city I am still amazed by the ingenuity of those who lived in the 1700s. The arcos was the most ambitious hydraulic project in Mexico during the Colonial era. What an imposing sight! If you visit,...More

The aqueduct has 74 arches very well preserved (it was built on the 18th century). It has more than 1km and at nigh it is illuminated.

If you come to Querétaro you have to see the aqueduct - you can’t really miss this 1 km and something giant. It is truly iconic sight: 18 century roman stile structure in midst of buzzy 21 century mexican street 👍🏻

Aqueducts don't do very much that's visible, even if they are still operating. They are a fun background for a selfie photo. Personally, I like Morelia's aqueduct better.

While in Queretaro, we took a walk thru the old downtown and made our way to the Aqueduct. Amazing to see up close, and reminded me of Rome. Be sure to do a quick wikipedia check to read about the history behind this structure. Queretaro...More
