From Mont Passot, we experienced the most exotic and breathtaking sunset ever seen on earth.
Here, you have a 360-degree view of the entire Nosy Be island.
We spent close to two hours witnessing the spectacular sunset view in pin-drop silence... So amazing!
The right spot for silhouette photography.
The indigenous people are welcoming and friendly.
If you happen to visit Nosy Be, do not miss out on Mont Passot...

Mont Passot is a bit far from most activities in Nosy Be but the view is fantastic. The hike is only 5 minutes easy up and you have 3 decks where you can see almost the entire island, which is amazing. Overall it will take 30 minutes.

Me and my husband did Mont Passot as the last item on a day tour of the island. It is a very easy walk to the top from the parking and beautiful views from the top. We spotted lemurs on our way up as well as other animals. At the top we had a 360 degrees of the island and surrounding islands and a very pretty sunset, a bit cloudy but still beautiful.

After the sizzling heat of the coast, a trip to Mont Passot was sheer bliss. Our guide Lisy was very well informed and made this excursion very interesting. The views from the top of the viewing deck takes in Nosy Be as well as the surrounding islands and the Mainland in the distance. The volcanic lakes seen from the top are emerald green and sport lush vegetation to the water's edge. We saw an interesting tropical fruit, yellow in colour called zevi.

Short 5min walk from the car park to the top. Wonderful views of the whole island. Recommended to come before sunset.

Nice way to end a day. Do get your spot early, as the crowds will be jostling for the perfect view right when the sun starts setting.

I took part in excursion organized by "Black&Jackson" (you can find them close to the private beach of Orangea Hotel). At first we went by 4x4 car to Hell Ville to see sacred tree of Malgasies. It's only a huge tree but impressive. Be prepared to take off your shoes before ntering. There is also a small museum next to it. Then we went to visit the biggest market on Nosy Be area (woth seeing). Next part of the excursion was biggest waterfall. You can admire wild natue there and to swimm in cold fresh water. After seeing the waterfall we've been transported to our hotel to have lunch. After lunch we went to see Andilana Beach. It's really nice but there are to many importunate sellers of souvenirs... The last step was going to see some lakes (there are crocodiles in one of them) and admiring the sunset on Mount Passot. The view from Mount Passot is really fantastic ! You can see a lot of lakes, a lot of greenery and the sea. If you are lucky you'll meet there some lemurs. After sunset we returned tired but happy to our hotel. I would also like to recommend the organizer of the trip "Black&Jackson". They are honest and have very helpful guides.

Mont Passot was one of the settings of our postwedding sessions in Nosy Be. This mountain top enables to have a 360° panoramic view of Nosy Be sunset from there is heaven.
