Coming to this bar for years, it's a lovely place to grab a drink and watch sports on big screen or to sing karaoke at night enjoying a nice cocktail, great (iced) coffees and cold (draught) beer! Staff is very friendly too.

We have today returned from our first holiday in the Gambia and an amazing week at the kombo and luckily for us we also had the Liv!! On arrival late Friday night we took our seats outside after a day of travelling and were greeted by Ali the owner. The choice of drinks literally caters for everybody so every member of our party of 8 ranging from 11 to 61 were spoilt for choice. Being a football fan the weekend was heaven with a huge selection of matches and Ali was always happy to oblige with any sports requests. Over our week spent at the kombo we would always end up in the Liv at some point and we were ALWAYS greeted with smiles and professionalism from staff including Andrea,Victor,Kebba and Aisha to name but a few. The prices are more than reasonable and the cocktail happy HOURS were always a hit. A big thank you to Ali for some great conversation, some sound tourist advice for first time visitors and for going that extra yard to make our holiday even more enjoyable. Darren,Julie and family.

Lovely bar and staff but drinks twice the price of the kombo beach hotel in which it is located all also if they see you drinking in the hotel bar they change their wifi code so you can't access theirs even though we spent over c £1000 in their bar in 2 weeks. Well over priced for the country

The excellent wifi we provide is obviously to entice clients to use our establishment and not when you are patronizing our competitor. simple business tactics Our competitor doesn't want to invest in a good wifi , their wifi hardly works, so We don't see why we should give our wifi to their clients, use our facility and you are more than welcome to use our FAT FREE LIV WIFI. we invest in better equipment better cocktails better TVs for sports . and our prices are the exact same price as our next door neighbor as they are our landlord and we maintain the same prices for the same drinks. hope to see you again and hope you enjoy our excellent wifi

Ali is a great host, who has welcomed us (a group of 20 Sixth Formers and 4 teachers) back with characterisitc warmth.

Staff are friendly, the karaoke is on tap and it's great watching four football matches at once.

So if you are a resident no problem to pop in at any open time, but otherwise call and book to pass hotel security. An attempt at a trendy London wine bar (if you like that sort of thing in an Africa setting). Okay for a pre meal drink, selection of cocktails, well prepared, but pricy. Evening of our visit loaded or pre-loaded with hotel visitors. Says the internet is fast, but very noisy for any serious work and there are no hotels with other than token IT connections, so go elsewhere by taxi.

Being in the Kombo Beach Hotel the bar competes with the hotel for business, yes it provides football and sports coverage and yes plenty of drinks but could be a lot better, it's pool table is a mess with its pool cues with no ends on them.
If the club played more music late on maybe people wouldn't go elsewhere.
But after sunbathing all day maybe an early night is needed.

Just returned from a week at the Kombo Beach Hotel - the Liv bar is bang in the middle of the hotel complex and is a great place to hang out. The waiters are so lovely - really friendly. Ali, the owner is very helpful and will do anything for you - change money, get food etc. It's a great place to hang out in the evening on comfy sofas and watch traditional African entertainment. Thanks Ali! See you next year
