This English cottage shop on the edge of town is full of wonderful items. There are things for the house and yard, soap, jewelry and seasonal items. We left with several unique things. The sheep in the field are an added bonus.

We bought a cabin nearby 3 years ago and have been renovating. I show up at the Sheep's Nest routinely to look at the decorations and longingly wish construction was done so I can purchase some of the eclectic home decor for my place. The options are thoughtfully appointed and reasonably priced. She also offers lovely gifts and beautiful skeins of sheep's wool from her farm. Her husband built the store that feels like my childhood imagination of the cabin in Snow White came to life. You really should stop in if you are in the area.

I loved being in this place..the space is beautifully decorated and all items are unique and special. It's a place you could spend quite a lot of time in..just getting lost among the beautiful things in there.

The outside was so beautiful, unfortunately it was closed due to a death, but we peeked inside the windows and we'll be back. It is such a gorgeous setting.

While attending a local writer's festival, I received a bag of gift items that had come from The Sheep's Nest. The packaging and contents so impressed me that I had to see the shop for myself, and I wasn't disappointed.

From the stone path to the door to the statuary, flowers and plantings and the cottage itself, The Sheep's Nest is one of those rare finds that completely delight you. It was almost as if I'd been transported from the Catskills to the English countryside. The shop has a marvelously-curated mix of items ranging from rustic to eclectic, all chosen with a thoughtful eye. it's almost like stumbling upon the perfect Pinterest page because there are so many small vignettes displaying utterly charming products, all artfully arranged.

The owner explained that her husband is a local builder and that they constructed the cottage after a visit to the UK and the Costwolds. That explains the unexpected structure, but it doesn't begin to convey the charm of the shop and its environment.

This is a must-visit destination, and if you leave Hobart without stopping by The Sheep's Nest, you've missed your chance to step out of the mundane and enter a magical, special place. I left with a carefully-packed shopping bag full of wonderful finds, and I now have a new favorite gift shop; too bad it's 3 hours away from home...
