I can not say enough good things about my experiences at Bloomer Creek the last two years. The wines are superb, the amazing tasting room (which pays such close attention to detail from the beautiful wood floor to the various art that is on the walls), and last but not least the amazing service.

We were assisted by one of the owners, Deb Bermingham, who was knowledgeable about wine, had a great sense of humor and made the overall experience this past year a win for us that we decided that Bloomer Creek is a must hit on yearly trek to the Finger Lakes from Manhattan.

One small thing that impressed us about this winery, is not only that they make wonderful wine - they concentrate on what they make well. Many places in the Finger Lakes try to have as much variety as possible but most of the time 75% of their wines fall short. Not Bloomer Creek, they make a smaller selection but what they make lives up to their standards. The winemakers knows wine and grapes. For instance, they had a wonderful Chardonnay the past two years but they explained grapes this season weren't the best so they didn't make a Chardonnay. It is smart, it is not worth a winery making a wine that isn't great just because they may lose a few guests who only drink Chardonnay. Most wine drinkers like many types of wine or willing to at least experiment with a similar varietal.

Another thing is there was either no tasting fee or the tasting fee was waived with bottle purchase (we were never broached about a tasting fee so I really don't know the policy). It is a nice touch to not be so about salesmen ship but about making sure customers taste things they like. In the end, each person in our group walked out with $50 and up in wine.

I highly recommend Bloomer Creek on any trip to the Finger Lakes!

Traveling down route 414 in New York’s Finger Lake wine region we saw a sign for Bloomer Creek Winery. Since the purpose of our trip was to locate wineries we had never tried we pulled in. First off don’t let the outside of the tasting room put you off. When you walk in it is like walking into a cozy living room and just beautiful. But the real reason we were there is the wine. I have never tasted unfiltered wine or wine made in an old world way and this was a treat beyond compare. The taste was unique so delicious that i can’t wait to share it with others. One of the owners was the person behind the counter and so knowledgeable that the entire time spent there was amazing. Highly recommend trying this gem nestled in the finger lakes. You can’t go wrong

Visited last summer, never reviewed.
Very cozy tasting room serving good wines while talking to the owner/winemaker. Good experience. Could be made even better if he'd showed himself a little bit more friendly at times.

Went in for a tasting around noon. I tasted and purchased a 35 dollar bottle of wine last year from them. I told the woman I was interested in tasting the reds (I did not want her to waste the Rieslings on my tasting as I do not like any Rieslings) and asked if there was anything new since last year. Apparantly this hit a nerve with her. She began putting away our tasting sheets. I was shocked and we politely left. Unbelievable. Skip this one folks !

Really fun little specialty Vineyard where they make a small number of unfiltered wines. The woman who works there was serving about 20 people at once, all alone, and still did a great job of explaining everything we were drinking, and differences between them. We were thoroughly impressed with the he wines! We did not love everything, but they have a superb dry Riesling (second cut) that was great. Bought several bottles to take home, but really loved their unique nature. They waive the tasting fee if you buy some wine -- the right way to treat customers!! We would highly recommend this vineyard, it has been our favorite spot so far. Intimate, friendly and great wines.

An outstanding experience. The tasting was by far the most informative and entertaining to date. The staff is very dedicated to their products which are very good. Their award winning scavenger hunt Riesling is outstanding. Also enjoy that the winery is organic. Will return with every visit to the Finger Lakes.

Having visited the Finger Lakes several times, we decided to try a few new wineries this trip. Bloomer Creek did not disappoint! The "Master of Ceremonies" guided us through our tasting beautifully!
She was very knowledgeable and animated.
The wines were wonderful and organic! Must stop on the Finger Lakes Wine Trail!

Bloomer Creek Vineyards is a must do winery while on Seneca Lake. They prepare wonderful dry and semi-dry reds and whites, often selling an entire vintage to Manhattan, NY restaurants and/or wine shops. Their wines are held in high regard. The tasting room is intimate and beautifully decorated, plus you are greeted warmly by both Kim Engle and his dog.

Despite their admirable biologically dynamic wine philosophy, we were less impressed with their wines than we had hoped for. Also, as we understood it, they are only open on Sat and Sun. Late Sat, we ran into only a small crowd but they did not seem to be able to handle the group--much confusion and they served people walking in ahead of those of us who were waiting 30 minutes or so. Despite that, we did purchase a few wines. However, upon opening our Vin d'ete', we were disappointed with the level of degradation in 3 months, with the wine--a combination or gamay noir and cabernet franc (normally one of our favorites)--feeling weak, acidic, and not very fruity with or without food. We are hoping the cabernet franc is better when we open it.

Had a tasting with one of the winemakers, who was very welcoming and informative about their approach and mission. Bloomer Creek has a singular vision, producing wines with minimal intervention. The results are delicious and distinctive high-quality wines. Open only on Saturday and Sunday during high season. Really glad we made the effort to stop by. If you're serious about wine, check them out. Very attractive tasting room with more of a homey feel than many others in the area. Lovely view from the property.
