You'll fall in love with the fun and unique wines at Penguin Bay that range from dry to semi-sweet. What is more to love is the fact that a portion of all wine proceeds go to the endangered Humboldt penguins at the Syracuse Rosamond Gifford Zoo. So stop into our tasting room and pick a favorite wine to savor while you enjoy our lake view picnic facilities.

We visited Penguin Bay winery this past weekend. We went for the cute Penguins on the bottles and for the fun decor, however we were very impressed with the professional and knowledgeable staff and friendly environment as well as the wine. The guys were very factual and professional and we feel we got the full tasting experience! Although many of... More

Penguin Bay definitely stood out amongst the wineries we visited on the Finger Lakes. Very knowlegable staff, a fun penguin-filled environment, and of course, very good wine for quite reasonable prices. The rieslings were my favorites, while my friends preferred the reds. Not the largest selection to choose from, but what they have is very good. Definitely worth a visit,... More

We were touring the wineries for a birthday and made penguin bay a stop we wanted to make. Upon arrival we were treated like they did not want us there. The place was empty, our party was the only one in the building, the kid behind the counter asked if we had a reservation. We told him no, from there,... More

I've been telling people for years that what you like in wine is a matter of individual taste. Penguin Bay wine is a prime example. We did the usual wine tasting (my wife and I shared the samples since we like the same kinds of wine.) We settled on purchasing a regular and a dry resiling and a cabernet franc... More

Stopped while touring vineyards that are on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail in the Finger Lakes. Staff are knowledgable, wines are decent and well priced. Small gift shop. Worth a stop.

I came here on a recommendation from Swedish Hill Vineyard to try the Ice Wine. OMG! The best wine ever if you like a more sweet wine. It is a dessert type wine and absolutely delicious. Kind of pricey but I think it is worth it to have for a special occasion.

I went with three friends, and there were maybe 2 other groups of people. The man serving us was very frazzled while serving us, pouring one of us the wrong wine, forgetting about us for a little too long (and most of us have worked in customer service), pouring very very little wine, not talking to us for more than... Great wine and a very knowledgeable about the wines and the area. On a personal note the woman doing the pouring used to live very near the area I used to live in PA, this made it even more interesting. This will be one of our regular stops on future trips.

It was a nice spot with a lot of good wine. Very fun place, lighthearted and welcoming. Very informative about the area and their wines. Also love they sponsor a penguin exhibit at the zoo. Very nice place.
