We were charmed! We had a perfect boating day with Layla. I was so impressed by Liz and Rachel's unique blend of demonstrable sailing-competence, hospitality and good humor. The devil is in the details, and they had incorporated many unexpected touches that really enhanced our experience. (For one example, we had had haphazardly tossed meat and cheese in a bag to snack on, and it was served back to us as such an adorably presented charcuterie basket). I would 100% recommend them to anyone interested in booking sailing service in this area. 10/10 would book again.

What a magical evening sail we had with Captain Liz. After a week of beaches and touring the beautiful North Fork, it was amazing to see Shelter Island and Greenport from the water. Liz is an expert captain, and her crew, Natalie gave us a 5 star experience. The yacht style bean bags were super comfy, and our wine was served to us in chilled metal cups and there are cup holders. We brought some cheeses, meats and bread and it was expertly served to us-plated like you would get at any fancy restaurant with cloth napkins. I would highly recommend and for those with bad knees (like me) it was easy to get on and off the boat. Can’t wait to be able to do it again!

I would give Layla Sailing 10 out of 5 stars if I could!
I wanted to plan a very special engagement proposal for my fiancée. And Captain Liz and First-Mate Rachael blew away our expectations.
The boat itself (Layla) is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The bean bag seats on the front deck of the boat were great for lounging and taking in the beautiful views. And there was plenty of space for me to kneel / stand during my proposal. And we used the Bluetooth speakers that they provided to listen to our own music during the sail.
Throughout the trip, Captain Liz kept our ride very smooth. This was important so that I could steady myself and propose to my fiancée, just as we passed by the Long Beach Bar Lighthouse. Liz and Rachael also discreetly took photos throughout my proposal. To my surprise, the photos were perfectly timed and they came out wonderful! I very much appreciate the extra care that both Liz and Rachael showed us in order to make our engagement so special.
I highly recommend Layla Sailing for any special event, but also just for a soothing / healing experience. Sailing through open waters with views of the gorgeous homes around Greenport and Shelter Island provided the perfect backdrop for our engagement. But the expert care and sailing by Captain Liz and First-Mate Rachael is what makes Layla Sailing truly special. We will be back again soon for another sail! Four thumbs up from a happily engaged couple~

What an AMAZING sail! We had 7 girls for a bachelorette party and Liz and Rachel were awesome!! They blew up all 7 of our floats for us and served us brunch we brought (egg sandwiches & fruit) on the cutest tray! We got to jump in the water and when we got out they had a basket of sunscreen, detangler, make up remover wipes and a brush. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend them and I can’t wait until I have another special event so I can book a sail with them again. Will be recommending to everyone! Thank you Liz & Rachel!

My husband and I took a sunset tour with Layla Sailing for his birthday and had a magical evening. The crew gave us a warm welcome – pouring us our wine as we settled into cozy bean bag chairs and connected our iphone to their Bluetooth speakers. We sailed toward the Greenport Lighthouse and experienced the peacefulness of the water at dusk, while enjoying our sandwiches (beautifully displayed!). Despite a few clouds, the sun managed to pierce through and created a lovely, moody sky. Can’t wait to bring our family and friends back – and maybe try a daytime sail next time!

We had a planned vacation to visit our daughter and her partner Jeff. About a month out we get a cryptic text message about marriage, eloping etc. After a bit of discussion, we were in full blown wedding preparation from 3000 miles away. Between Jean and Kegan, the idea of a wedding on a sailboat made it to the top of the list. We reached out to Liz to see what we could do. Since this was very early in the season, really early, we were worried, but Liz came through with flying colors and we had a plan.
We started working out the details for a half day wedding sail and it could not have been simpler thanks to Liz and her commitment to make everything perfect. She had great suggestions about food and drink. In the end we went with a couple champaigns plus some wine and an amazing cheese platter from Kate’s Cheese, a local company.
On the day of the wedding, we arrived just a bit early to work on wedding pictures. We waved at Liz and Rachael who were making final preparations for the sail. When they were ready, Rachael came to greet us and transported all our gear to the boat where captain Liz welcomed us aboard.
This is when all the magic happened. For the next few hours, we were treated to a great wedding and sail on a beautiful, immaculately maintained sailboat. Captain Liz performed the ceremony flawlessly and Kegan and Jeff were married. Then we drank, feasted, and sailed on a beautiful sunny day.
Liz and Rachael are ultimate “people” people and exceptionally skilled in their sailing craft. When you’re on the North Fork it would be well worth your time to take a sail with Captain Liz on Layla Sailing.
Truly a Five Star performance!

I couldn’t recommend Layla Sailing more. Captain Liz and her crew are beyond professional, experienced, and knowledgeable and make sure your every need and want is met during your trip out to sea. Me and my husband did the two hour sail and it was pure heaven. The boat is the most gorgeous well kept piece of art and the entire experience feels seamless. We will be back for sure for more trips out and can’t wait to get a group of friends together for the next one. All we can say is, BOOK this, you will not regret it!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary this past week with Layla Sailing and couldn’t possibly recommend them more! This sunset sail is perfect for anyone looking for a special occasion in the Greenport/North Fork area. They coordinated with A north fork affair to have a 4 course meal ready for us on board and it was truly incredible. Plus what’s more impressive than an entirely women ran boat? We hope to make it out that way to sail again with them again in the future!

We went on an afternoon sail for my husband's birthday and had the best time!! The boat is excellent, the staff is amazing, and even my 5yr old daughter asked "when can we do this again???" as we were walking off the boat (thought she'd maybe get bored?! but no!). This was despite a rain shower in the middle...!
Literally the best boat experience we have had in the north fork, recommend it without reservation. AND-- love that it's female owned and operated.

Our family of 4, all beginners, enjoyed a spectacular afternoon of sailing with Liz and Rachael. Rachael handled the sails while Liz steered us through the light breezes on the bay. We anchored and had light refreshments before resuming the last leg of the journey. Rachael provided us with excellent service in just the right amount of attention, making sure we were hydrated and safely situated T all times. The all female crew was amazing for our daughters to witness. Not only were they skilled but also kind. Thank you Rachael and Liz, we will forever remember the experience.
