A lot to look at and you will learn and see things that you never would have happened in the area. They even have the worlds largest glove. If you like museums you will like this

Great museum with wonderful volunteers
Aug 2019
The Fulton County Museum is a wonderful facility that houses an extraordinary amount of history from across the county. It is well-organized, and staffed by a great bunch of people who volunteer their time to the community. I visited the museum while conducting research for an upcoming project, and was assisted by a pair of volunteers, George Streeter and Dale Brown. They were both SO HELPFUL and friendly, and donated their time freely to lead me through the exhibits and find what I was looking for. I highly encourage anyone who has an interest in local history to visit this establishment in Gloversville. You will be very glad you did.

Neat place
Aug 2017
Although the place is very musty and kind of creepy, I found some of the history presented to be incredibly interesting. Unfortunately I went with a bunch of teenage girls on a youth outing. They were not thrilled. I would recommend going alone and not with kids so you have a chance to read the displays. But it was free, which was nice. I would like to go back again in the future to have a chance to fully appreciate it all.

Was blown away by our visit, local history when this area was top notch. Had model train setup of the FJ and G rail yard and rail station and all the history of this once great area. Spent about 3 hours there and came away with a sense of pride of what was.

Located in an old school building in Gloversville NY away from the downtown area. Extensive memorabilia of the history of leather industry in Fulton County.

Off the beaten path.

The museum is housed in an old primary school building. It sets on North Kingsboro Avenue just south of East State Street in Gloversville New York. It h as two floors of memorabilia to offer. You cannot miss it as it h as a big bronze elk standing sentry in front. It is the perfect pass time for a chilly Autumn day or a rainy afternoon.

Surprisingly Nice
Sep 2016 • Couples
There are a lot of exhibits covering many aspects of life in Gloversville. We especially enjoyed the manufacturing exhibits along with household furnishing and older appliances. The staff was extremely helpful with our genealogy questions and inquires about the historical aspects of the town. Well worth a stop if you are in the area. Note that it is only open on the weekends.
