I've travelled to and from this train station for most of my life, and I've grown very fond of it! The station itself opened 22 August 1848 by the Windsor, Staines and South Western Railway, as part of it's line from Richmond to Dachet. The...More

Arriving at Marylebone station on Thursday 21st March 2019, around 9.50 am, I needed the Ladies toilets. Not having the correct money, so pleased to hear today, charges have been dropped, I could not be bothered to find the change or go in through the...More

Just gonna post this in case someone googles for it - quick, open and free of cost toilets on the platforms that have saved me a few times when popping on and off trains. Barriers sometimes not working or lots of construction but whatever, just...More

Having lived in a flat close to this station for several years on my own, I have mixed memories of it, which were rekindled as I travelled through it on my way to & from a rugby weekend in Twickenham. There is actually nothing overly...More

The whole Staines, and in Staines Railway Station, you can smell the past. In Staines Railway Station i felt that i had visited this place once before; however, it was my first time :)

A great disabled friendly station, ramps, accessible toilet, fantastically friendly staff and a cracking journey up to London. Let the train take the strain

Staines Railway Station is a generic, dated and small station. It' s perfectly fine for taking trains but is not exciting to see as a tourist, even if you are really into trains.

Decent enough train station with fast links to Waterloo. No shop or cafe built-in, which is disappointing, but luckily there is a wee shop outside the station where you can stock up on snacks for the ride in.

How close do you need to be? There are some residential streets nearby that could permit road parking - just watch the signs.

No you can't. There is a big campaign to do so but Feltham is the furthest out on this line that you can. Local Busses do however. If you can afford the time the 117 takes you to Feltham. Or buy a ticket to Feltham; get off... More
