Visited Felicite as part of an island hop snorkeling trip from La Digue.
I appreciated a wide area to explore while snorkeling. As others noted, Seychelles has lost a significant percentage of their coral, but on Felicite you can see the efforts to restore some of it and indeed there was a decent variety of coral types off Felicite. Also, a good variety of fish can be found here. Sea Turtles were seen by others on my trip, though not me.
I am not a super strong swimmer, nor have I much experience with snorkeling - at times the coral was close to the surface and I found myself panicking as the current was strong and very much pushed/pulled me more than I was comfortable with. I stayed more toward the deeper waters or pathways between coral and felt better.
In comparison -Big Sister had the wider variety of fish, while Felicite had more coral. Little Sister was my least favorite snorkeling area - but honestly, everything in Seychelles is worth seeing.

In the past this was my favourite place to anchor overnight when on a yachting holiday. It's still very nice, but there's now an upmarket resort on the island which means it is no longer (largely) uninhabited. The resort isn't loud or very bright, but it's not like previously when all was quiet and dark.
We were told that the resort doesn't take kindly to yachts anchoring off the beach, but we stayed 3 nights in total and no one bothered us. A huge Catamaran turned up one night blaring out tuneless "music" for about an hour which also detracted from the experience this time.
The snorkelling off the beach is excellent, better than Coco Island and watching the fruit bats flying overhead at dusk is enchanting.
A lovely place, just a bit tarnished now.

We stopped at Felicite on a boat trip. Anchored and swam and snorkeled there. Lots of different species of fishes here. Had a wonderful time observing nature and its beauty underwater! Highly recommend this spot for snorkeling. Pity that the coral seem to be dead as all around the Seychelles...wonder what the future holds for our oceans.

Picture perfect beach. The shallow waters near the shore are home to a stunning array of coral formations and many rare species of fish frequent these corals. It is a good site for snorkelling. People who are not too good at swimmers can snorkell without much discomfort at Felicite Island. I would recommend wearing special rubber boots ,as a lot of loose rock can hit your legs and , some of these can be quite painful

As a part of our snorkling trip we had BBQ lunch on Felicitè and afterwards went to our third snorkeling stop near the west coast.
After having lunch we had a short walk tat the north tip of the island and visited the Six Senses luxury resort. Two bad that we would need to win the lottery to stay there. ;-)
But snorkeling was excellent. A lot of fishes and unfortunately the same dead corrals as anywhere else on the Seychelles.

Just 10 minutes from La Digue, this place is home to the most wonderful coral formations. Must do if you are in Seychelles.

While sailing on a catamaran, we spent a couple nights anchored right off of Felicity Island. There was very nice snorkeling, and the views were gorgeous. We had a wonderful visit.

Went on a morning snorkeling tour with Simplicity Boat Charter from La Digue, which covered Felicite, Grande Soeur and Ile Coco and did enjoy myself.
yes the coral is mostly dead due to global warming and the tsunami, but they are working on implanting new shoots, and there are still lots of tropical fish to see, very similar to the ones we saw in Hawaii and Tahiti: Picasso trigger fish, batfish, parrot fish, butterfly fish of all sorts, black tigerfish, trumpetfish, etc, etc
You can also swim to this private island (small channel to the left of the beach, amongst the corals covered with spiky urchins). I did, left my fins and mask on the beach, and walked away 5mn, to find out when I returned that my fins had been stolen...So, take them with you if you decide to walk on the beach.
Very pleasant outing!

We were able to get a reservation for lunch at the resort Six Senses Zip Pasyon on the private island of Felicite. Normally they are closed to the public and you are not allowed to dock your boat at the marina. However, we called a couple of months ahead and asked politely to be able to enter the island and have lunch at the resort. They were not able to accommodate the catamaran we were on at this time but we were given permission to come ashore with the dingy...
This was such a treat and for a couple of hours we were almost like the rich and famous. We saw a helicopter landing at the marina twice letting distinguished guest off and the feeling of appreciation for being able to visit just for a short time grew!
If you are able to get permission to go ashore at this island, it is highly recommended.

We're planning a trip to the Seychelles this February. We'll be staying at the La Digue Island Lodge and are wondering how to go about a trip to Felicite. Our first choice is simply to have a water taxi drop us off for a late morning / afternoon, and then pick us up later that day - We'd like to snorkel and hike the island.
Any recommendations in terms of getting there and back? Best place to beach and snorkel and hike?

Mi risultano solo degli alberghi super lusso e comunque l'isola è molto piccola ed isolata...La raccomanderei solo se si vuol stare nel relax totale e con la certezza di tempo perfetto
