A Pleasant lunch with wine
Sep 2021
We decided to visit this winery for lunch based on reviews and the middle eastern options on the menu. It is a short drive from Geneva on the east side of the lake. We arrived around 11:30 on a Thursday morning, and there were only a few other patrons. We did not do a wine tasting flight, but ordered a light lunch of shwarma sandwich and seasoned fries, together with a glass of chardonnay and their red blend. We turned in the order form and sat on the covered patio to take in the view of the vineyards and lake and enjoy the weather. Our food was delivered quickly and was very good. We both enjoyed our wine, and purchased several bottles to take home. Prices were reasonable. It was a very laid-back and pleasant couple of hours. We would gladly go back.

A perfect place to relax with a great glass of wine and enjoy some Lebanese cuisine

A perfect place to relax with a great glass of wine and also enjoy some Lebanese cuisine. Best falafel I've ever had along with some very good wines. We will be back!

I would definitely return next year to Zugfest
Jul 2021
This review is for Zugfest 2021, the music festival at the vineyard.

I liked that we were able to park fairly close to the building, since we carried chairs with us. I appreciated that there was staff in the parking lot guiding us where to park.

My husband and I both enjoyed a glass of Late Harvest Riesling, a sweet wine that seems to be their most expensive wine. Very delicious.

The bands performed under a beautiful covered stage. Some guests brought their own chairs; there were many wood chairs supplied by the vineyard. Half the people sat in shade, either on their covered porch or under tents (not sure whose tents, the vineyard or the visitors). We felt lucky to find a small tree to sit under.

We heard two different bands that played very different genres, but both bands were large (6-7 musicians and vocalists) and excellent. The $15 per person cover charge seemed fair.

There were several different vendors selling food and Zugibe offered its own kitchen menu, but we were there between lunch and dinner and did not eat there. Zugibe's menu includes several vegetarian options.

Welcome to the neighborhood!
Jul 2021
Our winery tour guide informed us that this is a relatively new vineyard-winery in the area, opened about 2 years ago. The family tha owns it, we hear, are Lebanese. If they're bringing some new vintning traditions to the region, they're doing it well. My wife and I got ro share a tasting of several of their wines, and all displayed what good qualities we expect from wines in this area--clarity, acidity, broad flavors. We were happy to take some vottles of our favorites for later.

We came here with friends last week and truly enjoyed our time listening to the entertainment, watching the sun set, eating delicious food freshly prepared and drinking their signature Rose. Fun night and beautiful grounds

Really like this one!
May 2021 • Couples
After trying the other places, Three Brothers was over-stimulating due to a Mudders run and the second place that had a man laying on the ground waiting for paramedics, we stumbled on this Winery. So glad we did! I wish we could have gotten the name of the young lady with long blonde hair, that helped us. She was so helpful and engaging. She really was very knowledgeable! Really liked the serene atmosphere of this Winery and the Beautiful views out back. We will visit Canandaigua again in the future when we attend to Florida State/ Syracuse game with friends and we will absolutely come to this place again! Highly recommend! The wines were excellent! Don't understand why it's # 5 in the listing of things to do. Should be higher!

one of the most beautiful settings
Apr 2021
Zugibe is situated on a gorgeous piece of land that from their back porch and sitting area has a remarkable view of the lake. Very friendly and accommodating. While several of the wineries offer this, it is nice that you can buy beer as my wife is the wine person and I generally would just as soon have a beer. So we sat out back and she did her tasting and I had a cold beer! We got talking with another couple who happened to be locals and they said this was their favorite place to sit back and relax. Right by 3 brothers so be sure and stop at both places

Finally, A Fingers Lake Winery with Good Reds
Oct 2020
We stopped for lunch at a young winery on East Lake Road overlooking Seneca Lake. The food service was OK, but seemed a bit disorganized, where one pays before the food arrives, and is placed at an odd location. They offered a limited variety of Mediterranean dishes, the portion of humous was small and the bread was dry, the pulled pork pita sandwich was uninspired.
On the other hand, this 40-acre vineyard had at least twenty varietals, including some very good reds! I really liked Four Freds, and their Cabernet Sauvignon, which could be compared to the best in the SW Seneca lake region. Their Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc were both light and distinctive.
