If you haven't been here in a few years, it's worth another trip. They have vastly improved the taste and quality of their wines. They have a new head winemaker and are sourcing grapes from the Finger Lakes and Long Island. We absolutely enjoyed the Sky Island Red and the Reserve Merlot. We enjoyed the tasting so much in fact,... More

It was our first trip with the dogs and we are so glad that wineries allowed the boys to join us! We prefer the NY state whites to reds but the Red blend they had was tasty. The dry Riesling surprised my husband - he tends not to like Rieslings.

We love our Long Island Wineries, but we have also ventured outside our comfort zone and have trekked up to Orange County. Whitecliff Winery is comparable to many of the wineries on the Island and I truly mean this in a positive spin. They have a very good product, have a customer oriented staff and have a great tasting /... More

This was an out-of-the-way place with a fabulous view. A great place to sit on the deck and sip wine. The Riesling was wonderful; some were highly scored by Wine Enthusiast. Picnic tables were available, as were seats outside. Very friendly staff, too! We'll be back!

Stopped in because we found out they have a special bottle that supports Catskill Animal Sanctuary. With their extensive tasting hours we popped in. Tasting options are in about 6 different choices of flights (possibly more) ranging from $5-$12?. We were pleasantly surprised to see they had sparkling, red, and white; while more vineyards in NY we have found focus... More

This winery has a great selection of reds and whites. There weren't any wines that stood out to me. There was one with forced carination and that was my favorite but you can only buy a growler of it.

We picked this place because it had a great view of the Gunks. We did the Thanksgiving food pairing and tried 6 wines. In the end we bought a bottle of wine and sat on the deck to enjoy the view. A great afternoon.

While visiting New Paltz we were looking for a vineyard to go to and this vineyard had great reviews so we gave it a shot. The tasting was a great deal and included a wine glass which was an added bonus. The tasting room was charming and the owners dog was hanging around and was very friendly. Did not love... More

whoever chose the location of the whitecliff vineyard knew what they were doing....absolutely beautiful view of the mountains......and the wines are outstanding. as a true foodie i like to occasionally visit vineyards for wine tasting and the chance to but the local wines....last trip to the north shore on long island resulted in a bottle or two from several vineyards... Whitecliff Winery is one of many excellent vineyards/wineries on the Shawangunk wine trail. Although the tasting area is fairly small, you are made to feel right at home and there are interesting products to browse if it's necessary to wait you turn. There is a lovely patio area which looks out at the 'white cliffs' in the distance and you... More
