We went with children ages 9 and 7 and this was just perfect! The hike was strenuous but so worth the panoramic view of the Schoharie Creek Valley. The winds blowing through the fields looked like the ocean!

Great panoramic views-hike takes about 30 minutes to ascend share you are greeted by the dance floor, as it was called. Names chiseled in the stone from 100+ years ago are fun to read! We hike several times every year. It never gets old.

Great little hike about 45 minutes west of Albany, NY. The hike takes you from a grassy parking area, up into the woods (a fairly steep climb), to cliffs overlooking the valley below. Great views--bring a picnic lunch and enjoy! The main trailhead for Vroman's...More

About thirty to thirty-five minutes of climbing. Three types of terrain, first, smooth, like an access road; second, rocks and tree roots embedded in the trail; third, steeper, with rocks to hold onto occasionally. Calves... More
