Nice Walk
Jul 2020
We walked for a while on this paved path that goes around the lake. We passed by some restaurants and a beach along the way. The views of the lake and boats were very nice. Restrooms were available.

Scenic
Aug 2019
I enjoyed walking down by the lake as it was very scenic. Also, I crossed the street and walked to a public bathroom, and then walked up a very nice public park trail in the woods, which was a nice complement to walking down by the water as you could get the best of both worlds.

Nice little walk around the lake
Oct 2017 • Couples
We stumbled across this path as we were walking around Lake George. This is a nice paved path that goes right along the lake from the Boardwalk restaurant to the marina by the Million dollar beach. There are benches along the path to relax and enjoy views of the lake and watching the steamboats travel around the lake. the path is right across from Fort Henry and the Warren County Bike Path.

NICE WALK
Aug 2016 • Solo
This a nice walk through the park to the Million Dollar Beach. It is not a ''trail'' but a paved walkway. It is a nice shady area with just the slightest incline. I stayed at the Super 8 on 9 and walked across the street to the "trail" every morning right down to the lake. There are several historical markers in the park.

Wilderness close to town.

We enjoyed the views of the lake and surrounding mountains along the lakeside. Not too far from the beach and the village this flat trail is a good option for those who do not want to trek uphill or want a little shade.

Relaxing walk along the lake
May 2016 • Couples
NOT a "trail". A pathway by the lake that leads from the Million Dollar Beach to almost the Boardwalk Restaurant. Nice relaxing walk on a "sidewalk".

Pretty Paved Path
Oct 2015
The Lakeside Trail is more of a paved walkway then a trail. It goes part of the way around Lake George and is very scenic in certain parts. It passes the stores and goes to Million Dollar Beach. A nice walk!

A pleasant walk along Lake George
Sep 2015 • Couples
Note: this is NOT a hiking trail. Anyone expecting that would be disappointed. However, as we were not expecting to hike, we thoroughly enjoyed our long walk. The Lakeside Trail is a paved path that runs along Lake George. It's most popular section starts near Shepherd Park and runs to Million Dollar Beach. Our dog loves to swim and is very active, despite being pretty low to the ground, so we were looking for a path that was doable for him and would provide him with an opportunity to swim. Lakeside Trail fit the bill perfectly - he loved the walk, enjoyed meeting the crowds of people and dogs also walking the path, and was ecstatic when we arrived at the Dog Beach for his swim break. The trail passes by several restaurants with views of the Lake, many of whom allow dogs at their outdoor patio seating. It's a nice reprieve from the chaos of Canada Street, for sure.

Scenic, but Not What I Expected
Aug 2015 • Family
I guess I thought this was more of a hiking trail. Instead, it is a nicely paved walkway that goes partly around the lake. Some sections, looking out at the mountains or walking past the boats, are quite scenic. Others not so much.

That said, it is a nice respite form the charm and cheese of Canaada Street (the main drag). The fact that it is paved makes it easily accessible for strollers. Just don't expect it to be a nature walk.

This trail is just lovely!

Beautifully paved trail with plenty of room to stop, sit, picnic or grab a quick ice cream cone or snack. It starts behind the courthouse (Red brick building with clock tower) in the Village and goes all the way down to Million Dollar Beach. Very nice walk or ride on a skateboard or long board, especially at night. Lots of places to stop and eat and beach areas to dip your toes into. A main attraction in LG!
