Ok you can feed the crazy ducks on site but there’s much more to do. Nice laid out store for social distancing and they still give out free samples of wine and cider (max group of 4 at a time). You can pay $3 to sample the moonshine if you want. We bought a cider and some wine.

Sizeable location with plenty to choose from and ice cream outside as well. Parking lot across the street.

Back again this year for the most awesome pot roast sandwich I have ever had with Fly Creek's very own horseradish sauce on grilled panini bread.
Unbelievably delicious, in fact, so much so that I took an extra order of pot roast sandwich home and had it for dinner the next evening.
They actually put the pot roast in a to-go container so the Panini bread will not soak up all of the juices from the pot roast. Great idea.
Just a little reheat in the toaster oven and it's ready to serve. Yum!

Get a meal deal with a sandwich and choose Cape Cod potato chips or mac and cheese with it along with a drink of your choice plus piece of Apple Pie.

Also, took home 4 half gallons of their wonderful frozen Apple Cider.
Just put the Apple Cider in the freezer and it keeps wonderfully.
Fly Creek's Apple Cider is so delicious.

Oh yes, had to get some of their Apple Cider cinnamon sugar donuts for the week for breakfast.

Always a great family day trip. Will be back before the summer is out.

Kudos to Bill Michaels and his crew for a superb job!

Didn't expect the cider mill to be so large and organized. They are definitely ready for lots of folks. Many outdoor photo venues and beautiful flower displays. Picnic tables and porch for eating food from their place; not for picnic brought from elsewhere.
The inside has a large store with apple themed household and kitchen items. They also have a good supply of various food items. Included in food is their selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
They offer glasses of wines, beers and ciders or flights upstairs where they have education displays. There was a player piano going when we were there.
They have a large parking area across the street. Again, it is large enough for a crowd including campers.
The onsite pond is fun for a visit. They have corn dispensers so you can feed resident ducks and geese. It looked like there were some games, but we didn't investigate them.
We had a pleasant visit.

Visited 9/12/2020. Overall very poor experience.

Attempted to order 1-Hard Cider, and 1-Donut (to comply with required guidance, requiring food with alcohol). The Cashier (And the 5 other people behind the counter), all informed us that a single donut does not meet the requirement. However, half a dozen donuts, pie, or pretzels do. When asked why, they told us you had to spend a certain amount of money on food to get cider. Keep in mind that inside they were offering samples of hard cider without any food purchase. It seems to me like they are taking advantage of the requirement to have food with alcohol to make customers spend more money.

COVID 19 precautions were a below average. No one was limiting building capacity, outdoor playground areas were not blocked off, and not being cleaned. People were not social distancing, and no one was enforcing this.

I will NOT be returning to this business. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Hello Panther, Thank you for leaving us a review. Maintaining compliance with New York State’s Guidance for operating our small business during the Global Corona Virus Pandemic is definitely a challenge with the multiple outlets we provide. Inside our Mill we are allowed to offer complimentary tastings of our apple wines and hard ciders when people are seated with a maximum of four at a time. At the foodservice area customers are allowed to purchase a glass of our hard ciders or apple wine if substantial food is ordered at the same time and consumed while seated. We are of the understanding that single doughnut is not a large enough required portion. During the busy weekends we have a greeter at the door to limit inside occupancy and we do delineate 6’ social distance spacing with one-way traffic flow. Our weekday visitation is low enough to support limited occupancy. To our knowledge our local municipality has not restricted playgrounds at the time of your visit and we have multiple signage asking visitors to social distance. I regret that you did not enjoy your experience and hope that you choose to return after this Pandemic to enjoy the experience that most others in the TripAdvisor community have enjoyed. We hope that you and your family stay safe. -Bill Michaels Owner

We have always visited the Fly Creek Cider Mill. They had their after covid grand reopening on August 14th and my husband and I visited on August 22nd.
It is a shell of what it formerly was. While looking around the store, it became quite obvious that their stock is LOW. Went to the 2nd floor that at one time had many collectible items. Now, nothing on the 2nd floor but two upright racks of stuffed animals. Dish towels were laid out one by one (another tell tale sign of low stock) and yes there were empty shelves. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

Ouch! Yes, we sold off all of our inventory in January and closed the doors. During our closing we were able to restructure and re-open. While we have an abundance of our “core” products – Apples, Cider, Cheese & Fudge we are in the similar situation of many businesses due to the global supply chain and distribution lag. Ingredients, packaging and accessories have all been effected. Product that we do not make continues to trickle in. Our second level learning center and cider gallery are still available and we will start the cider-making process in September on Saturdays. The good news is that we did have 12 new goslings so at least our flock is full. Perhaps you will be able to re-visit in 2022 as the Country will hopefully be back to normal.

This is a really nice family run cider mill, restaurant, and general store. We did not partake of the private tour nor eat at the restaurant. We did, however, visit the general store, which is amazing. So many products to purchase, many made there on site. We went upstairs to sample their ciders and wines which were excellent and we ended up purchasing a few bottles. There are activities for families with children to do such as feeding the ducks in the pond, flower displays, etc. If you choose to eat at their restaurant, there are plenty of tables to eat at outdoors, as this is a seasonal restaurant with snack foods. The parking lot is across the street and has plenty of room.

So we came here because USA Today crowned Fly Creek with the best Cider in the nation. After having it, the review might be true. It’s not too sweet and kind of reminds me of eating an apple. Went during the week so it wasn’t too busy. We went to the tasting room had got some flights with four different tastings of what they had to offer with a choice of what we wanted. Friendly staff and a nice gift shop. Feeding the ducks was a blast! Kids will have a blast here. Check it out if you’re in the area!

A fun place to visit and eat delicious broccoli cheddar soup, cider donut sundae, and cider slush by the duck pond watching the summer storm pass over (the umbrellas are nice and big). The store is enormous and rather overwhelming, but we purchased some adhered cheddar and apple wine. The best part was feeding the ducks on the lovely millpond.

Overly commercialized little place - "tourist trap" totally describes it. You have to check social media to see when the apple cider press is operationally on display, but it's all a tourist trap. Many better places to go in the fall. Don't waste your time here.

I paid a visit to the Fly Creek Mill and Orchard while in Cooperstown. I arrived and went inside, which I spent $68 on goodies. The staff at the Mill are friendly and the prices are reasonable as I got a lot for $68.
