When travelers think of New York City, Manhattan is typically what comes to mind, but the city is much bigger than just one borough. On this busy sightseeing tour, you can see more as you're whisked to Queens, the Bronx, and Brooklyn—all in one day. From Harlem in Upper Manhattan to the Brooklyn Bridge, with an optional stop at Coney Island's iconic boardwalk, see more of the Big Apple.

The Bronx Zoo can be overwhelming for little ones, so we decided to come to the Queens Zoo on a rainy weekday morning with our toddler and had a fantastic time. It was clean, spacious and well-equipped for pandemic times. The animal habitats were laid out so that kids have a great view, and some of the animals go right up to the glass screens (a puma kitten stalked my toddler through the glass, much to her delight). Very do-able for kids, and the adjacent petting zoo is big and has lots of farm animals. Staff were very friendly, cafe is quite small but has a nice outdoor area by the sea lions. The whole thing can be done within 2-3 hours. I hadn’t been to the Queens Zoo since I was a child, and I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. Would highly recommend, especially for families with younger kids.

Great lil zoo- perfect outdoor activity during covid- spent about an hour and a half. We went on Friday at 3:30 pm and pretty much had the zoo all to ourselves. Bought a pre-timed ticket online. Staff were very nice. Beautifully landscaped. Especially enjoyed the aviary - beautiful parrots! Other highlights were the alligators, bears and warthog. Little petting zoo had lots of ducks, goats, and alpacas. Didn't have quarters or would have fed the cutie animals who were all giving us longing eyes. Parked (free) near the globe inside Flushing Meadow Park and quick 7 minute walk to the zoo.

This is an underrated attraction. Bronx Zoo gets all the attention but when I fell upon this place by chance while visiting the amusement park right next door, I was pleasantly surprised. It was spacious, serene, quaint, well kept, and a very enjoyable experience. The only setback is parking, as is the case with most NYC attractions. But the area had many different attractions and family friendly things to do. I recommend checking it out.
