Old Church with Cemetery
Oct 2019
While staying at a motel in Fishkill drove over to see the First Reformed Church of Fishkill. It has a cemetery on both sides of the church. There are two historical markers outside the church. I was sorry the church was not open. What a great history it has.

An old church and cemetery in the neighborhood
Nov 2016
This is an interesting and working church with an adjacent cemetery that goes back to the 1700s. We found a relative there! Not well interpreted. Read up on the history before your visit.

Great playground

Stop in Fishkill as mid point with travel to New England. Church is located right on Main Street a and was prefect for letting kids run around to stretch their legs.

Great slice of history
May 2016 • Family
If you are a history buff, definitely worth a visit. Was built during the Revolutionary war. We went for the Sunday service which was a bit dry for my taste, but the history of the place is breath taking.

Very Pretty and Historic Church
May 2015 • Solo
I went there some time ago because I had to attend services outside of my own religion for a college paper. The church was very beautiful and the congregation was welcoming. They have a wonderful church yard adjacent to the building and they operate a food pantry in conjunction with St. Mary's. I was glad that I visited the church and am very respectful of its historic value to my neighborhood.

Old, plain and beautiful

A wonderful walk back into the early history of the lower Hudson Valley. The tour is excellent and the graveyard is very old and fascinating.

Talk about history!
Oct 2014 • Couples
We were there at the wrong time to get inside but the exterior and historical markers are very informative and the setting is really quaint despite being right there among modern streets and businesses.

Search for relatives
We are on the search for our historic relatives and part of that search took us to Fishkill.

What a remarkable little town that's well worth the visit as its steeped in history and old cemeteries where you may find your relatives.

Historic Church
Oct 2013 • Friends
Enjoyed our informative guide and being able to sit in the pews where others had sat so many years ago. There is also a small cemetery in the yard. Bring tracing and flat crayon to do a grave stone rubbing.
