I've been kayaking and swimming. There are lots of boats in the summer time. People own camps all around it. It's a friendly, bustling little community in the summer - with fewer permanent residents in the winter. A really friendly, beautiful area that has lots of activities.

Didn't have time to stop, but next time for sure, a real gem on Route 430 back roads, it just popped out as we did slow down and enjoy the quaint little town.

Lovely little town. We toured the peaceful lake and countryside, had ice cream at the ice cream shop on the lake and visited the antique shops. This is a lovely area, not for people who are expecting a lot of excitement but we were looking for peace and beauty and we got it!!

Here, on this portion of the lake, there are a number of options to enjoy this lake. One may rent a boat, enjoy a bite to eat at one of the local places or simply browse at the numerous shops along the street. There are places to park and picnic if you are so inclined,

Beautiful little lake. You must know where to go and things to do for fun and relaxation. Here are just a few. Rent a boat or kayak at marina or campground and cruise the lake and enjoy the different ducks geese etc. Rent bikes at hardware and ride around lake, picnic on Sunny Side rd at picnic benches 1 mile... launch for kayaking was convenient but had a stupid chain across. Could get around it but it was annoying.

A small town on a small lake in southwest New York with an permanent invitation to stop and enjoy the sights and sounds. Set on the lake, the town has a few shops, restaurants and vacation homes within walking distance. Check out the candle factory (plus an outlet) as well as the antique store for specials. A drive around the... More

Not much to do but drive around the lake which is a pretty drive. The very small town does not have much in it, a candle factory/outlet, an antique store, which was very nice, a small carryout, and a small hotel/restaurant. For a very quiet vacation destination you could check it out.
