I would not go out of my way to see this. I would pass by if I were in Elmira. Good for a quick photo op.

This is a quick stop, but glad we took the day trip down. I enjoyed seeing the pictures of him and his childhood. Fun little stop on a beautiful day to learn more about a great writer.

The study was moved to Elmira College campus, and isn't as interesting as the building to the left. The Mark Twain exhibit inside is open until four and is very interesting, especially if you want to know more about his family. Be sure to turn...More

Not his Summer Home as the caption says. This was his gazebo where he worked during the summer onths that he was in Elmira. He wrote Huck Finn here and as of this writing, the gazbo is on the campus of Elmira College.

Twain's sister-in-law had this built for him and it was eventually moved to Elmira College. It's not open to the public and the only things you can see are from looking inside the windows.

More like the gazebo where he did his writing when he visited his summer home. Still impressive, and located nicely on the campus of Elmira College near statues of MT and his wife, Olivia Langdon.

It's not Mark Twain's home it's a small one room study where he spent time and wrote some of his books. It's a cute little building. You can walk up to it and look inside. There is also a Mark Twain statue at the Elmira...More
