A lovely small museum that houses interesting facts and artifacts about the Chemung Valley. Nice staff and volunteers. The researcher was very helpful to us as my husband worked on family history.

It is a small city museum so don't expect too much. However, it is very informative and well maintained with interesting exhibits. You can learn a lot about the local area. Staff always willing to answer questions and it is not very expensive at all....More

This museum has a small but interesting collection. The young woman at the front desk was very helpful and gave us an overview of the collection. Well worth a stop if you are visitng Elmira.

Friendly staff with eclectic collection of Elmira & Mark Twain historical displays. Very nice section on Jewish immigrants contribution to Elmira's history and the Gilded Age in the region. $5 regular price, $3 for seniors.

I found a stone artifact in my back yard and described it to the staff and they went directly to a book and helped me identify it. great displays and info about the local history.
