We went the first week of June, so it was still practically empty. The bath houses and the snack bar were all closed. But it was still a great experience with an amazing view. We were able to park in the nearby lot for free...More

Beautiful beach with lifeguards in the center of East Hampton. Also has a comprehensive snack bar (though be aware it's cash only). Bathrooms are pretty standard for a beach location. Also has outdoor showers and foot wash.

We stopped by this beach today and it was very nice. There is parking but it's $30 so you might want to make a day of it. The bathhouse structure looked nice. Great waves today.

I would say this is my favorite beach on Long Island. With the exception of the $30 charge, everything about the beach is great. The sand is soft, great waves, nice views with huge houses on the beach and it's not crowded.

Postcard old fashioned beach. When you step on the beach, you can smell the salt sea air. It is a beautiful shoreline. This is a must experience beach. The only regret that I have is that it was a windy and overcast day. I look...More

Stopped by on a quiet weekday afternoon. Just lovely -- soft sand; rolling waves; and a bright blue sky. And all very clean. Definitely a top-notch beach.

We basically live at the Main Beach during the summer. We call it our summer home. Parking is easy if you have a sticker. The people who work there are all very nice and have become our friends over the years. It's great with kids...More

Hi. The driving distance from Wainscott to Main Beach is less than 5 miles. If you are not a resident of East Hampton Village, where Main Beach is, you have to pay $375 for a season parking pass. Or, if you go only for the... More

There is a hotel called the Hedges Inn thats really nice. Also the Huntting Inn is also real nice. I would recommend Hedges Inn though because it is in walking distance from Main Beach.
