I have visited this little museum on more than one occasion, and find the collection of small glittering purses to be both interesting and enjoyable. It is a good place to bring guests, when looking for something to do during their Hamptons' visit. Look on Google for information on Judith Lieber, the creator of these special handbags; her life story... More

Like many men of my age, I have heard of Judith Leiber (from my wife, of course), That she made beautiful and EXPENSIVE handbags. So I had no idea that there was a museum, which I believe she and her husband created, nearby East Hampton. On a non-beach day a couple of Summers back, we paid a visit. Quelle Surprise!... More

A private museum buried off Old Stone Highway that has many of the stunning handbags done by Judith Leiber over the years. Open Saturdays in season - call or look on the Internet to see if they are open., If you are lucky, Judith and her husband Gerson, both in their 90s will be there to talk to you. The... More

You'll be surprised that the collection is mostly magnificent leather (not crystal) bags with fantastic details. Housed in a European inspired structure and garden.

Although you need to schedule a visit in advance , handbags collection and Jackson Pollack art studio, can go together. Try to see both when you go to East Hampton. Always call first and coordinate.

This is a very special place. Beautiful collection of exquisite Leiber bags and bright colorful modern paintings. Learned fascinating facts about Judith and her husband from the knowledgeable curators. Great experience!

The Leiber Collections does not get a lot of publicity, but it is a wonderful museum nested in Springs near Albert's Landing. Judith Leiber's collection of handbags is remarkable and beautiful. These are true works of art. Gerson Leiber's paintings and sculpture are also of interest (paintings are abstract expressionist, sculptures are mostly busts of heads). The grounds and gardens... All on display reveals the love between these two artists. One ,famous for the extravagant hand bags of high quality and whimsy, and the other ,of equal measure ,with an intense expression on canvas. Their joint efforts in collecting also delight.
