We arrived at 446 Old Stone and it’s a little tricky to find as it’s off the main road. There is parking outside but February it seems to have limited hours of opening.

I had read about The Leiber Collection before our weekend trip to the Hamptons. The elegant museum showcasing 600 Judith Leiber handbags and clutches is incredible! I loved seeing these beautiful treasurers close up, knowing so many stars carry them on the red carpet. There is also a great display of her husband's paintings and art pieces he had collected. An attendant offered a warm welcome and lots of tidbits about this wonderful couple he clearly admires. We were encouraged to take a high quality catalog with us as well. Outside a peaceful garden invites visitors to enjoy a stroll among interesting sculptures. This is a must-see and you won't believe that admission is completely free!

Fantastic exhibit beautifully displayed in a stately building neatly tucked away in a tranquil setting. An added bonus is the engaging curator who is not only knowledgeable about Mrs. Leiber’s handbags and Mr.Leiber’s art, but who also knew the Leibers on a personal level.

What a surprise. The gardens exquisite, the Museum a Jewel. A perfect setting to visit some of your favorite Bag designs from years gone by. Take a moment to remember what was happening the year the bags were introduced, Icons every one. The paintings are are a surprise. Not to be missed.
