if you like being on the water you'll love it here, there are pedelos, boards, row boats etc, but also a nice walk roind the lakes if you dont want too get wet. cafe could do with more seating.

I havent camped there but did go in a public loo which was massive with showers and changing area for putting on wet suits

The Pocklington to York bus service does go past the entrance to Allerthorpe Lakes. You would need to ask East Yorkshire Motor Services if they drop off and pick up from there. Sorry, can't give a definite answer.
