This part of Italy is noted for its rustic charm with stunning scenery and mountains, a real get away escape to unwind. The pools and rivers at Equi Term are magical. The medieval villages are quite unique and the Italian bars and restaurants are friendly and offer wonderful food. I loved my visit to the pool at Equi Terms. Although you have to pay , its well worth it for the luxury of swimming in mountain water with a thermal warmth and all the enhancements it offers your skin and well being. The pool was clean and the chairs around the pool were quite adequate. I have also swum in the rivers higher up the valley. Sitting by the rushing streams and waterfalls is something special. Visit when you can before this place gets too popular. Also great place for taking your camper van to sleep in the mountains, you’ll never sleep better.

A rural little town with winding streets and beautiful countryside. The spa is 4 euros and there's a couple of nice restaurants in town. Really enjoyed our day trip here.

The sulphur smell is standard for all hot springs! Surprised to see people complaining about it. The water comes from deep in the earth, a land of mineral...

The website of Equi Terme shows sparkling blue water with the sun shining...The thought of a dip here is lovely, unfortunately the water is green and my husband tells me the bottom is slime. I guess it's hard to clean what is supposed to be natural sulphur spring water but it's really off putting. The whole place looks really tired and there are a few broken tiles. It looks as if everything needs a good scrub. The changing rooms housed as selection of sun beds which doesn't bode well.

But...The locals love it and the kids love it! There was a lifeguard who was a bit casual with his E-cigarette & pop music but he was very attentive to the children playing safely. He also got sun beds and made sure they were safe.

It was 7€ for 3 hours and it was ok. We had an ice-cream in the little cafe on the way out.

It's a beautiful location with stunning scenery...all it needs is a bit of love & a tidy up.

Agree with a previous poster re the gravel...bring flip flops

Paid about €40 to find out that this place has NO hot spring water and a pool that basically gets water from the river. The actual hot springs are up the river and FREE. Don’t make the mistake that just because they have “Therme” in the name that they have hot water.

So we went to Terme di Equi to enjoy the thermal baths. When we arrived the place looked very unclean. One of the pools is completely green and stinks - and closed. The other pool is a normal swimmingpool. The thermal spa is very expensive 18euro for 20min in a bathtub. There are no pools with thermal water.
This information was not available on their website. All in all a horrible experience.

Save your money and go up the river, where the thermal springs are available in small pools - for free!!

Terrible place. Old and Shabby. The swimming pool hasn't been cleaned or maintained probably for the last 20 years. 7 euro to enter and 2.50 for a broken sunbed. To avoid absolutely.
All the locals are going up the river in natural pools and near the source. Much better and free

I arrived and it was closed but a lady suggested we use the bathing areas in the bath for free, since it's the same water. Was nice and popular with families

We went to Equi Terme a few year's ago during an unseasonably cold and wet August day, and wandered around the startling caves. This year, it was a hot and sunny day, and we went for a quick stroll around the small village where both the Baths and the Caves are located. We did not swim, as the place was so full - but I would certainly recommend. It is charming - State-run (as far as I know), looks a bit run-down, the pool is an interesting green colour and there is also a children's pool. You can do full spa treatments there. The thermal springs can also be accessed free of charge by walking up along the river. Parking can be a nightmare - it is free but in high demand!

The pool looked sad. However by accident we found the area of river where the locals gather to use the sulphur springs. The spot is idyllic and quiet. We enjoyed a couple of afternoons sitting in this area

A quaint little village located below a huge cliff. Its nice strolling around the almost desolate little streets and alleys, taking a dip in the stream and enjoying a lunch at the restaurant.
