Fulkerson Winery is one of the older wineries on Seneca Lake. Their history is amazing. Their fresh grape every fall is a sure sign of fall for home winemakers and jelly makers alike. They recently began bottling this liquid magic so you can enjoy it any time of year! Their wine list is diverse and loaded with accolades from the classic assortment of Riesling to varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Dornfelder - you can truly find it all at Fulkerson! They also recently started offering horseback rides through the vineyards, a bucket list item for sure. Don't miss a stop at Fulkerson if you find yourself in the vicinity of Seneca Lake.

Enjoyed that we were able to sit at our own private table to do the tasting.

Server was excellent.

We chose the flight called "best of the best." My husband's favorite was the Dry Riesling; my favorite was the sweeter Matinee (very light and tasty). The pinot noir and Sparkling Diamond also came in this flight, and all were very drinkable. This might be the first time I did a wine tasting where I didn't dislike any of the choices.

We loved the huge variety of munchies that may be ordered with the wine tasting. We chose the Petit Toasts (a delightfully crunchy but not salty toast) and the Gouda cheese. Everything was brought to our table with plates and a knife.

The experience was fine; I would return and try other flights and other cheeses.

There are jellies, spreads, dips, olives and many other items that may be served at the table with the wines.

Prices were reasonable.

Other wineries may have fancier views or landscaping, but the wine tasting experience, for me, was better at Fulkerson.

We happened to stop in and were lucky that they had an opening for a tasting, as they were asking for reservations. We did a flight of whites. The server was knowledgeable about the different wines they carry. He suggested a few others to try based on our preferences. (note: these are not free samples). We really enjoyed their Riesling. They have a very cute gift shop as well.

We've been a lot of tastings and were excited to try a few in the Finger Lakes region. We were expecting more of a personal touch to the tasting, like you get at many other wineries. Normally you'll get a pour and a little conversation about the wine or something along those lines. We were given a table and we order cheese and crackers. The waitress (bartender, sommelier?) brought the glasses of wine, as well as a box of crackers from the shelf and a package of wrapped cheese from the refrigerator. I would have expected a little more to the presentation for the money. The wines themselves were good and we bought a couple bottles for drinking at home.

Sorry for the delayed response to this, As you may know, the industry is experiencing an extreme staffing shortage and we're doing our best to provide the best service at 12% of our normal staffing levels. As far as the cheese, we do try to explain to every customer that we're not set up to prepare food, so I 'm sorry that it was confusing for you. Thank you for taking the time to review us.

This has always been one of our favorites, so it was our first stop. We were greeted immediately and paid for our tasting. Asked about the passports but not given much information.
There were 6 people already tasting so another pourer was asked to help... he was not very personable.
It was the quickest wine tasting ever; we were in and out before the people before us were even done with their tasting!
The wines were delicious...favorites are Red Zeppelin, Airship White and Diamond

I was on a wine tour and this vineyard stands out! The tasting was amazing!! Scott, our poorer/server was the BEST HOST! Our group had a blast with him. He was so informative of every wine and had a great personality. But the building is absolutely beautiful. The wood work is awesome. I wish we could have stayed longer. Best of luck to you!

I remember coming here many years ago and trying the zeppelin wines and liking them. We tried several sweeter wines and they were good. I love that they have all kinds of grape juice made at the winery for sale. We bought several to take home. The gift shop is nice. The staff seemed a little bored while we were there. Stop in to take some grape juice home.

I was excited to visit this winery as my maiden name was FULKERSON. I went in to buy a few bottles and some merchandise. The woman who checked us out was unfriendly and didn't even humor me with a smile when I made a joke that I may be part of the family. When we got home and drank a bottle of the white we were extremely disappointed with the taste and quality. I will be gifting the rest of the bottles to my least favorite family members :)

They should have been clear what a 'tasting' is during these times, you are simply given a flight outside, didn't even tell us which wine was which, I order a white flight so didn't have a clue. Also, we order what we thought was a charcuterie platter, what we dot were 2 cheeses and a salami in their wrappers as if we had gone to a store! Very unappealing.

I am sorry that you were not happy with your tasting and that we did not explain properly as to what to expect. We try our best to spell out that we are not capable of preparing Charcuterie boards at this time, and what exactly you would be getting. We will use this review to better our process and improve our service. Thank you, Steven

Fulkerson Winery has a beautiful open tasting room with a rectangle tasting bar that allows formally patrons to taste at one time. Our pourer was so sweet and helpful with suggestions of where to eat and where to visit in the area. The wines at Fulkerson were some of the best wines my husband and I tasted during our weekend at Seneca Lake. Fulkerson has a nice upstairs with ample seating to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine after your tasting during which you pick the wines you taste. The only thing Fulkerson does not have that some of the other wineries do is a good view of Seneca Lake but don't let that stop you from visiting if you are looking for good quality wine.
