Lime Hollow is close to home for us, which makes it a favorite hiking destination all year round. We especially love to snowshoe there in the winter. There are many different trails to enjoy and many different levels of hiking available. You can hike the flat Lehigh Valley trail or climb the High Vista Trail for exceptional lookouts. The Art Trail includes creative totem poles and beautiful metal sculptures of the moon.Be sure to visit the Visitor Center where there is always hot chocolate ready! We love that there is a wheelchair accessible trail and public restrooms...All this and it's free!

We only did 2 of the trails on this visit. The Chicago Bog Trail being one of them. There is a slight climb but its easy. It goes through the woods and offers views of the bog. We seen 3 trails on this road in separate parking areas but didnt have time to hike them. There may be more trails along the road, but once again, we ran out of time to go exploring.

Lime Hollow is a great place to visit for it’s miles of hiking trails and interpretive nature center. It also has a classroom for local HS students to learn the ins and outs of environmental science and recreation. They even have a day care center which teaches our very young to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors.

i like the way you can use the bathrooms for free. the trails are a bit boring, however the sites on the paths are different than other walking trails. the building is well maintained and is one of a kind in the area
