I have drove by this place for years and today I decided to check it out. My husband, son and I hiked the trails for about 2 hours. What nicely kept trails. We gave our son the map of the trails and he was able to figure how to read it and get us back to where we started. I’m so glad we explored it and plan on returning often.

Lime Hollow is close to home for us, which makes it a favorite hiking destination all year round. We especially love to snowshoe there in the winter. There are many different trails to enjoy and many different levels of hiking available. You can hike the flat Lehigh Valley trail or climb the High Vista Trail for exceptional lookouts. The Art Trail includes creative totem poles and beautiful metal sculptures of the moon.Be sure to visit the Visitor Center where there is always hot chocolate ready! We love that there is a wheelchair accessible trail and public restrooms...All this and it's free!

At Lime Hollow you can see all kinds of nature related items in a GREEN (heated floors) and fresh log building with stained glass. Love the smell of fresh wood! See what animals look like up close, see birds outdoors from the bird room, visit the excellent gift shop, walk the easy trails (free trail map) and cross country ski in winter (rent skis at a nominal price) All kinds of special events always going on. Bird club. Friendly staff answers your ever questions. Try out the composting toilet. Check 'em out on-line and on Face Book! You'll have a great time at little cost, if any

My granddaughter and I enjoyed my very first trip to Lime Hollow on a 70 degree day at the end of February! Beautiful day-blue skies, no wind, and quite a few others with the same idea that we had. Most of the trails were clear and dry, some of the spots still had snow.
We started at the Visitor Center and went on the Art Walk which had really interesting and creative art for us to check out along the way. We walked on parts of several trails. I think if I went again I would start from a different area. But...the young lady at the Visitor Center was very helpful and an asset to Lime Hollow.
Normally, during the winter there are lots of cross country skiing and snowshoe trails. This period of time the snow had mostly melted due to the continuous high temperatures.
Pick a beautiful day-or a day you just need a mental lift...and do some hiking at Lime Hollow!

My wife and I did about 8mi out of the 12 and there is so much to see. We spent the whole day, such a peaceful place. I will say how shocked I was to see so many items at many areas just out in the open. This is a very thrusting place. Where I'm from there's cameras, staff and locks. This was a nice change. My favorite part...not one bit of trash. At last, a beautiful place not destroyed by scum tossing their beer cans and food wrappers everywhere. So amazing to see. Lastly, everyone says hi and seemed very friendly. Must be something in the water. Definitely going back to see the rest.

LimeHollow is a jewel in Cortland. The trails are lovely mostly moderately easy and well marked. There are even hidden art treasures!

I love this place! They have many different trails. You can hike for miles and still have many to go! Also, what many do not know is that they have a trail for dogs around the corner from the main entrance. I love taking my dog there for walks. The best part is that it's never overly busy. I frequent there often.

So many trails to choose from. Great place to hike or run through. Bring your own water. Or better yet pack a lunch and soak in nature!

This is a great place to be out in nature! Peaceful and quiet and well taken care of. The picturesque scenery after a blanket of winter’s snow is unbelievable!
