Art about the american experience -- the people, land and ideas that shape America through the eyes of American artists. Connect and reflect on the story of America through the eyes of American artists.

The diverse collection of original American masterpieces includes a mix of contemporary Native American art alongside traditional bronze sculptures, landscape paintings and other works that embody America and the migration west.

Kids and teens 17 and under are always free to The Rockwell -- specialized Art Hunts and our Family Exploration Studio make our museum the perfect destination for all ages.

The Rockwell is named for our founding collectors, Bob and Hertha Rockwell, local business owners who amassed an incredible collection of American art and artifacts.

While in Corning, we visited the Rockwell Museum, you can buy tickets to this museum along with the Glass Museum. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Not realy Norman Rockwell, but various artists showing the "old west" in paintings, artwork, etc. Fascinating. Artwork was amazing.

If you love western art you will love the Rockwell. This month's showing of aerials of the Colorado river are amazing.

Don't miss this little museum when you go to Corning NY or the Corning Glass Center. Fabulous American West and American Indian art and artifacts. Wonderful gift shop is a bonus. Just a block from the hotels and shopping and dining venues.

Many nice art pieces. We visited here on a combo deal with the Museum of Glass. Allow yourself 1 1/2 to 2 hours to see all exhibits.

Hi Julie, I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your visit to The Rockwell. It's true that our museum is relatively small - less than 15% of our collection is on view at a given time! As you mentioned, we have a revolving where we offer two to three different exhibits per year; we also change the art... More

The Rockwell has a fantastic collection of Western art and items like old rifles and Native American artifacts. The Native American pottery is fantastic, and the gift shop is a treat!

This is a must to stop at while visiting Corning NY. Great western art works that you wouldn't think you would see in a small city. Great fun for the whole family.

The building is a former firehouse, which is in amazing condition and fun in itself. But when you are by the from entrance and look up to see the buffalo, you know you have to check it out! I was very impressed. For a small museum, it had an amazing amount and variety. There was only one Rockwell on display,... More

This is a small but well done museum on American western & native American art. The building also has its own history too. There was a special exhibition of photos from the Colorado river which was beautiful but sobering, when you see what's happening to the water. This museum can be viewed on its own or you can buy the... More
