Not a lot to see, the tour starts out with a 10 minute recorded talk of the lake which was decent but afterwards if you go up on the top deck and engage the Captain in conversation made it very enjoyable. Has a bar for alcoholic beverages but selection is limited and also limited to well quality liquors

Took the cruise on the Otsego Lake on the Glimmerglass Queen. This is one of the most beautiful tour boasts I have ever been on, it is immaculately kept and definitely has the right name. The commentary about the lake and its legends are very well done and the story about the tower that is on the lake is truly... More

The trip lasts about an hour and is very relaxing. The boat is in extremely good condition, very clean and well cared for. You can stand outside (on the top deck) or sit inside on chairs with tables. You can also go upstairs or downstairs during the cruise. Some snacks and many choices of drinks are offered for additional cost.... More

My wife and I took the 5pm trip on a Monday. There were only 15 people on the boat. The boat was spotless. With a glass of wine purchased very reasonably from the galley and a calm warm evening the boat trip was a highlight of our visit to Cooperstown.

This was another diversion suitable for a four year old. Our very active grandson was entranced by the ride, which was relaxing for his grandparents. The tour information is recorded, with no live tour guide, but the bartender (yes, there is a bar on board) was very willing to answer questions. The recording only lasts 5 or 10 minutes. It... Beware - you need cash to ride. You can't go to Cooperstown and not marvel at the perfect lake. It is simply gorgeous. This boat is your simple solution... and its only an hour tour. You get some history, but really it's about the views. We stood on the top deck (the inside has no air conditioning), and with these... More

The main area was only opened on the ends of the boat and was very hot. They really need to invest in additional fans to cool the room. All the glass heats up the area very quickly! Recorded tour was lame. I would not recommend this tour.

Thank you for taking the time to review your cruise. We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the tour and it was hot. Our double decker boat has an enclosed lower level and an open air deck upstairs. We are sorry that you made the choice to stay downstairs. It is summer and warm weather is certainly not... More

Our hotel was right near the dock where the Glimmerglass Queen was moored. It gave us a nice overview of the surrounding area, including the museums located in Cooperstown (in addition to the Baseball Hall of Fame). We also learned some of the history of the area. A beautiful lake.

We went with patches of rain and have hundreds of beautiful pictures of the lake and the surrounding bluffs. Great way to see the lake and the scenery around it!

If I could give this a zero I absolutely would. We arrived at 12:15 for the 1:00 boat tour. We got there early to make sure we got tickets for the ride. We were told that they didn't start selling tickets till 15 minutes before the boat left. My family and another family went back at 12:43 to purchase tickets... More

In response to your review you are correct that tickets are not sold until 15 minutes prior to departure. The maximum capacity for our boat is 50 people, set by the state for the safety of everyone onboard. We are sorry that you were unable to purchase tickets for that particular tour due to that 50 people maximum being met.... More
