Just returned yesterday from a 3 night stay at Glimmerglass State Park. Wide open spacious site....plenty big enough for our 34 ft Class A motor home. The staff and grounds crew are meticulous about keeping this place spotless. Every morning the bathrooms and showers are cleaned and dusted (yes, dusted) to remove any cobwebs that may have been constructed overnight.... More

We stopped here on our way to Cooperstown. It was nice to get in some exercise after several hours in the car. There are a few trails - Sleeping Lion was a good distance with enough elevation increase to give a bit of a workout. There is also a swimming beach area that could be nice to check out. Also... What an immaculately maintained park. Bring your bikes or just go for a stroll. We enjoyed a bike ride and some quiet time lakeside. There's plenty of parking. A family could have a great day for the $7 entry fee. Bring your suit and enjoy the beach.

We went to the park specifically to see the covered bridge and it was worth the trip! It cost $7 for a car. The oldest covered bridge on NY and the USA! Get out and take pics!!! We then drove over to the beach just to check it out!

what a terrific setting, extraordinarily clean and scenic state park.. most of all, though, was the helpful nature of the staff, some of whom even provided "gator rides" to polly, who is a bit less than perfectly mobile... cooper had it right about the glass, but the personnel were even shinier

My father, brother and myself recently stayed at this State park campground. It is very nicely laid out. The entire park is well maintained and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The sites are spaced well esp. along the outside of the loops. All have electric however no water (fill station available).Proximity to Cooperstown was a scenic short 8 mi... More

This is a beautiful state park. Scenic views all around and lifeguards on duty. Four sectioned areas for swimming. Sandy bottom that is easy on the feet. Not a lot of beach space but enough to put your blanket down. We had a wonderful time. Only 10 minutes from Meadowlark Inn. Highly recommended!

Glimmerglass State Park was a great experience! It is a large campground with a beautiful, clean beach area which is great for the kids. It's not far away from The Baseball Hall of Fame and many shops and museums! Definitely coming back!

Our baseball team needed a break from Cooperstown so we found this state park. It was so beautiful. The facilities were very clean. My only complaint would be that it was June 16 and the beach was closed . We had 13 kids from 5 to 12 who wanted to swim badly. We z Still had a great day

Great park for a nice walk or a quiet afternoon of reading. Not real busy so makes it relaxing. Beautiful views as well. Can take a picnic with you too.
