It's unfortunate that just driving by this place it appears from the roadside as if there's not much to it. However, should you venture inside, you will be pleasantly surprised to find that the place really opens up! It's a pretty big place, but somehow manages to have a very warm and friendly atmosphere. We took our entire baseball team there, the kids loved the laser tag and the arcade, while all of the parents had a blast on the miniature golf course (18 holes). The landscape is lovely, quaint and there is space to picnic. The staff was so nice and friendly that I felt compelled to write a review although a rarely do so.

Went here on a recent trip to Cooperstown and had a great time. The mini golf was awesome and everyone had a great time. There is also air hockey, a pool table and a couple arcade games inside. If ever back in the area we will definitely stop back here and maybe have time for ice cream next time!

Another mom and I brought a slew of boys and their siblings to barnyard after a full day of baseball. It was a very stormy night and pretty late already (close to 9 pm). While most of the activities were closed, they welcomed our "party" in and really made the boys feel at home, rather than we had come charging in at this late hour. They accommodated the kids as best as they could from quarters for games to ice cream at the counter. We were there a full hour and it was the fun little break we all needed! We really appreciated the way we were welcomed on what could have been a rainy, cranky night indoors. Thank you, thank you!

We were up in Cooperstown Dreams Park the week of August 9, 2013. I had planned 4-5 team events outside of Dreams park for the team and this by far was the teams favorite spot! I had planned on doing a catered team/family fried chicken dinner at this location for 45-50 people. The owner was extremely helpful, she knows what the meaning of SERVICE is in a service business! She not only offered to cut up the watermelon, arranged the cookie trays but to pick up the juice boxes and catered food that I ordered from the Price Chopper downtown!!! She was a god sent and I really appreciated the extra mile she went for me. It allowed me to enjoy my sons game with out worrying about leaving the game early to get everything to the Barnyard in time. Coming from a catering/ restaurant background it was nice to finally find someone who is a smart and accommodating business women! You are crazy if you don't book a party at this location. She provides the coolers, grilles to cook hot dogs/hamburgers, paper products and the serving trays. Her partner and staff are all great! Best part it was so affordable!

Great place for team to have fun and parents relax. We dropped off cake and drinks and later showed up with food and they had everything set up and ready. We had private tent at no extra charge. They checked on us all the time, got us anything we needed. Kids (ages 5-15) loved it, minature golf, little shopping for moms, great icecream, pottery, laser tag. Parents relaxed by fire. Later they clean up. Perfect!!

We arrived about an hour before a planned party (that we weren't a part of), the gentleman met us in the parking lot before we could get out of the car. He apologized that they were closed, due to a party, but saw our soon to be 2 year old with us. We wanted to mini golf but were getting ready to leave. He said "I haven't turned the foundations or music on, and he had to prep for the party, but if we didn't mind, go ahead and grab some balls and putter and golf for free. He didnt have to do that, but went out of his way for us and the little guy. He turned the fountains and music on before we hit hole 1. A side note: the course was top 5 on our list (which includes over 20 states of mini golf courses). Challenging, but still possible hole in ones. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Our team admin person brought our baseball team here for team dinner. It was a like a small town chucks cheese. Mini golf and lame laser tag. The young ladies at the front desk were super nice though and the ice cream is excellent.

Hey thanks for stopping in and having fun with us! We love our wild-west laser tag played in the lower authentic Barn! And our Upstate Farm ice cream is delicious!

We played miniature golf and enjoyed the experience. Had a picnic lunch there. good setting. Wanted to do the pottery but they only had pottery that had to be fired, so that did not work for us.

We were heading home to NYC from Cooperstown and stopped at the Barnyard Swing for a round of mini golf. So happy we did! It’s right on Route 28 and we picked the perfect time. We came in and were greeted warmly by the staff and a family of about 12 let us play in front of them.
The western themed course was fun and at times challenging. We were happy to have some shade since it was a pretty hot morning.
We learned that the owner is from Lake George (our favorite Summer locale) which is why the mini golf course is so perfectly designed and so much fun!
There’s not much in the way of family friendly activities in Cooperstown other than the Hall of Fame and other baseball related activities, which is why this was so Perfect ! See you next time!

My husband and I love mini golf and this is one of our all time favorite places to play! We always make time to visit the Barnyard Swing when we travel to Cooperstown. This 18 hole mini golf course is clean, well kept and is very comfortable with it's sunny and shady areas. The holes are spread out and some require some strategy, but all are a lot of fun! This business also sells ice cream, BBQ, and offers other fun things for families such as: panning for gems (that you get to keep) and paintball. A fun time for all!
