Time of year
Otsego Lake is a beautiful place to spend the day. Bring a camera to capture the beauty of the lake and surrounding area. The water is cool and clear, plenty of fish.
Otsego Lake is an 8 mile long, 4000+ acre gem with Cooperstown, a gem itself at it's southern edge. From Council Rock Park, you came see the source of the Susquehanna river as it heads south 444 miles to the Chesapeake Bay. Geologically related to the Finger Lakes, but not…
Otsego reminds me of the Finger Lakes although Otsego appears to be much cleaner. We were in Cooperstown in early October and the leaves around the lake were in process of changing. Nice day but didn't see any boats on the lake.
Beautiful lake. We were never in lake.....too cool. We did walk along it and saw beautiful views.Stayed in cabin across the street from the lake. Nice views
The lake is very beautiful. The town is on the edge. It’s a good place for fall pictures. The boat ride is closed by October. I would have liked to try it.
