So, I will admit that this place is not for everyone. Sure, the amenities could be better, the food could be better, there are lots of little things that still need to be fixed even after the renovation that took the better part of a year. But if you're just looking to get away for an afternoon and relax in the various saunas and hot tubs, Spa Castle is perfectly fine. HOWEVER, my big issue with them is the price of entry. Prior to the renovation, it was something like $60 for admission, which was already a little steep. Now they are charging $110 on weekends (less on weekdays), which is bonkers! I was able to knock the price down to $85 with a Groupon, which is still a lot but I guess I can justify it as a splurge. But in the last few weeks, they've stopped offering Groupons altogether, which is also bizarre because the last time I went on a weekend, there was virtually no one there! In other words, it's not like they're super busy and can afford to ask for top dollar; they're struggling to get business, so you'd think they'd do everything possible to entice people to come (i.e. offer discounts like through Groupon).

I have been going to Spa Castle for years. I decided that yesterday would be my last visit there. We were given really small, cheap towels to dry off after coming out of the pool, there are no longer uniforms for you to wear, and I was told that if I wanted a robe, I would have to purchase it for $20. This place looks horrible, a lot of the sections are closed, and the staff cannot be bothered with anything you ask for. I will be looking for a new spa to visit with my friends and family. If you go there, you will have to take a towel, robe, and slippers. The drinks are now $22 in a small cup, and the food is not that great. I used to spend at least 6 hours there. I barely made it past 3.

I think it is kind of ridiculous that people spend their hard earn money for most of the amenities not to be open due to “ COVID” but the place is packed with people. All the saunas were closed , we could not drink and eat like before in the pool, security was being a major pest. If you guys are going to cut the amenities then at least cut the price because what are we actually paying for. They are forcing people to buy mediocre food that is over priced in order to get watered down drinks. The only thing that was refreshing was the customer service up front and their names were Tariq, Malik and Dorthy. Honestly this place wasn’t worth the price.

For someone who has been to many spas I would not recommend this one. Don’t waste your money. There are other similar spas that you can find in NYC area. The service is bad !!! The vibe is not too relaxing at all. The staff is not accommodating at all !! You feel like you coming into a some strict facility everyone is so angry and miserable. This is a spa ! Should have a relaxing spa vibe. If my towel got wet I should be able to exchange it. Simple !! The reply I got was no they can’t exchange for a dry towel. Little things like this make a huge costumer service difference!!!

I’ve been coming here since 2012. its guests gradually went from families to party people, so the place became increasingly less relaxing. Signs of poor maintenance were already obvious before pandemic. Yesterday my daughter and I went after 3 years. The place is a total shame, A to the Z.
I bought gift certificates online and it took me 3 phone calls to actually get the QR code. We get there and we learn that no towls, or uniform, or soap, or anything really is provided, because of COVID. Nice way to save a buck while keeping admission price the same.
In the pools at ground level many tiles are missing, signs are rusting, many hydro massages don’t work. Cherry on the cake, I notice a dead roach floating next to me while relaxing at the only work hydro massage. Call the attendant, who didn’t even said I’m sorry or anything, must be used to it. Upstairs pools are a mess. People drinking horrible frozen booze in lightbulb shaped glasses. People playing music off they’re phones, very annoying and not relaxing. Majority of massages don’t work. The place is in obvious disrepair. You see green and red mold on tiles, jet streamers, railings. In a place like this, where people share waters and surfaces, and air that goes through filters before going in in saunas, maintenance is imperative. Lack of maintenance simply means you are breathing bacteria and mold at every breath. It means your skin is exposed to funghi and other nastiness.
Franky I’m really surprised the DOH lets this place operate under these circumstances.

In contrast to other recent reviews, we enjoyed our recent visit. We are two adults and one tween and it was our first time. We got there at 10:30am on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. By the time we left at 2:45 it was at 3/4 capacity. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The condition of the pools/saunas was “pretty good”; 85% in working order (e.g. one sauna was closed and some pool jets didn’t work). The water in the pools was the perfect temperature. It’s a family place so don’t come if you’re looking for a child-free environment. That said, the pools and sauna in the locker rooms are relatively quiet and calm (though bathing suits are not permitted in the locker room pools). We didn’t see any inappropriate PDA (I hear that it does happen, perhaps not in the morning/noon hours). The food was tasty and not absurdly priced (think airport prices).

Warning! if you thinking you going to a spa to relax this is definitely not the place! is full of screaming kids all over there is no section for adults only! This is basically for b kids. You pay $50 for a day full of kids splashing and taking over the place. I will not go there again.

If you want a sauna experience, this is NOT for you. Why on earth they've turned the heat off is beyond us, but their formally hot saunas and cold plunges are now tepid. They have over 7 saunas yet the hottest one was only 143F!!! Everyone was complaining. The coldest cold plunge was 72F. It took over an hour in the hottest sauna to work up a sweat. Perhaps it's renovated for selfie-takers? If you enjoy a good Korean Spa day, go elsewhere.

This place was DIRTY. the people on the roof were acting like animals. People were hooking up in the pool in front of kids and I saw people with their phone in the nude area as well. I went to this place years ago and the clientele is now just so gross and disrespectful and the people who work there seem overwhelmed. It’s such a trashy place that should be investigated for violating cleanliness laws. Not even close to worth it. Save your money unless you want to get a disease from the water and the disrespectful people.

My wife and I have been going to Spa Castle for several years. My spouse spends more time there than I do. I am not a spa person and have a challenging time relaxing. The staff was friendly as always, the location was clean. The support staff deserves praise for quickly picking up towels and drying the floor, especially the staircase leading to the third-floor pools. The food was great. Our only complaint over the years was about the maintenance of the jets at all levels. I keep ready all these negative reviews and I am surprised. Spas are not supposed to be family places. Have I seen couples make out over the years? Sure but no more or less than I would at a bar or a club. Have I been to more upscale spas? Sure, but I have also paid much more and have had to sign non-disclosure forms. For the price and having a spa in the five boroughs with parking is amazing. I think people should research what traditional Korean spa culture was about, it's not a day at a water park. It's a day to reflect on your journey, discuss with your close partner and do some introspection.

Not at the Spa location. But they own The One hotel on Northern Boulevard in Downtown Flushing and provide shuttle service between the spa and hotel. You can also travel between the properties by public bus. Parking near the hotel is extremely difficult.
