What fun. very well kept, clean All the holes were exciting to play with some holes having a spin the wheel to penalize other players. Have not seen this feature on any other Mini Golf course I have played on. Every hole has an animal statue on or beside it.

Fun plane to mini gulf. Only gave four stars instead of 5 and we went twice and both times the kids charged us an extra dollar. Great place to bring the whole family!

Carl, thanks so much for the 4 star review. We appreciate it. I'm not sure why the staff member charged an extra $1 on your 2 visits but I do apologize for that mistake. Not sure if you had a senior in your group or not (that would be worth a dollar off) and teens don't typically guess who is a senior.... anyway please always feel free to challenge a mistake at the time so we can correct on the spot. Anyway if you would send me an email at don@bigdons.com and we will fix that for you. Thanks again for visiting and we appreciate your patronage. Regards, Don

Another well maintained and friendly staffed mini golf course. There are more things to do at this location but that is for the younger crowd.

Stopped here for some mini golf with the family on a gorgeous warm Thursday night 7/7/16. First sign should've been an almost complete empty parking lot. Specifically picking this night because of their online advertised special of "2 rounds of mini golf and a soda for the price of one round" we approach the counter and ask the young (blond, curly hair) girl working what is the special? She at first plays dumb until I point to the sign on the counter and she says "oh, yeah that's a really odd deal". She attempts to explain it basically saying you have to pay for your first round and then the second is discounted to $2.50. Clearly NOT what was advertised. Not wanting to waste time we say we"ll just play one round. 3 adults, 2 children. We later discover as we're playing she charged us for 4 adults and 1 child while also shorting us $1. Golf course was, ok. Nice set up and fairly easy play, just very run down and looking worn. As we are leaving we see a family similiar to ours checking in. Listening in, we hear them also asking about the special. This time the exact same girl is telling the family the special is buy one get one free. The mother clarifies "so if I buy one adult admission, the second one is free?" The clerk responds "yup". Last time I go to Big Don's and I certainly won't be making recommendations.

We are very sorry for this disappointing experience and we sincerely apologize for the confusion at the counter. The empty parking lot at 6 pm is not an indicator of the popularity of our couse but there is a dinner time lull every evening between 5 and 7. Our Thursday summer special is very straightforward, you pay for your first round and you can go around the course again for free (a $2.50 value) if you like, plus you get a free soft drink or slushie with each paid round. We have been running this Thursday special for 3 seasons and I cannot explain why the staff member could not clearly explain it to you but it will be addressed. That explanation of the special may have been what you overheard with the next customer. We of course are disappointed that you feel the course is looking worn, having just spent $16,000 on brand new carpets this spring. The ongoing drought is hurting some of our plants, so perhaps that is what you are referring to? Again our apologies for a disappointing experience.

We brought our four year old grandson here to play in Bear Cub Village. He had a good time and spent about two hours here, more than we expected. So, we felt we got our money's worth in that respect.

The "mini mini golf course" in BCV has six very simple holes, and is perfect for little ones who want to play but aren't ready for the real thing. The little building next to it has three rooms, one for a barber/beauty shop, one for a restaurant, and one for a workshop, all equipped with child's toys following those themes. The building and contents were quite old but for little kids they are still fun. There's a small wooden race track and little scooters that are sized for little kids but not easy for them to figure out how to use. There are very large sized Lego-like blocks to build with and a sandbox with assorted trucks and construction equipment to play with. Overall, as long as you aren't older than about 6, you might have a good time here.

However, BCV shows signs of neglect and aging. Weather has taken a toll on everything outdoors, and at least to an adult's eye (kids won't care) the place has a run-down, poorly maintained look to it, and some of the toys and equipment look like antiques.

We had intended to do some of the other activities but our grandson seemed happy enough with BCV that the only other thing he did was the panning for gems. He enjoyed that, but finished the entire thing in about 5 minutes, making this a poor value for the money.

This is a very nice adventure golf course, especially since we don't have any around these parts! Laser tag is excellent as well. A couple of the other activities are lame and pricing is a bit high, but overall a good experience

Thank you for rating us as "very good". We really appreciate the positive feedback. I wish you had specified the "lame" activities as we are always looking to improve our facility but you obviously love the laser tag and mini golf so we'll be thankful for that. Please visit again. Regards, Big Don

We found Big Don's by searching TripAdvisor on our way back from Niagara Falls to CT. What a great find! Tons of fun and reasonably priced. Laser tag for 2, 2 bags of gem mining and mini golf for 3 for about $50. My boys are 7 and 9. Hours of fun!!!!

Big Don's offer many activities. We tried 3 while we visited. They are expensive, 3 activities for 2 children ran $50 +. The children enjoyed the digging for buried treasure activity. You choose a sectioned off spot in a sand box and dig with a shovel and sifting pan for buried items. The kids had found many items such as shells and stones which they are permitted to keep. They played the Maze activity which required them to race through a maze to find items. They enjoyed this activity as well. The 3rd activity was the putt putt golf. It is beautiful and very well done with waterfalls etc. The children like this activity too. It is a great way to take up some time while the kids enjoy having fun. It would be nice if they had a create your own package to cut down on the exurbanite cost. They offered a limited choice of packages but not with any of the activities our children were interested in.
