We brought our four year old grandson here to play in Bear Cub Village. He had a good time and spent about two hours here, more than we expected. So, we felt we got our money's worth in that respect. The "mini mini golf course" in BCV has six very simple holes, and is perfect for little ones who want to play but aren't ready for the real thing. The little building next to it has three rooms, one for a barber/beauty shop, one for a restaurant, and one for a workshop, all equipped with child's toys following those themes. The building and contents were quite old but for little kids they are still fun. There's a small wooden race track and little scooters that are sized for little kids but not easy for them to figure out how to use. There are very large sized Lego-like blocks to build with and a sandbox with assorted trucks and construction equipment to play with. Overall, as long as you aren't older than about 6, you might have a good time here. However, BCV shows signs of neglect and aging. Weather has taken a toll on everything outdoors, and at least to an adult's eye (kids won't care) the place has a run-down, poorly maintained look to it, and some of the toys and equipment look like antiques. We had intended to do some of the other activities but our grandson seemed happy enough with BCV that the only other thing he did was the panning for gems. He enjoyed that, but finished the entire thing in about 5 minutes, making this a poor value for the money.

A group of us went to play mini golf..it was a cute course but a little pricy for mini golf. They offer other activities too but doing all becomes expensive.

What a wonderful and fun place for kids and adults. So many great activities and I had my daughter's 8th birthday party there as well and it was one of the best at an affordable price.

I was alerted to a Groupon for Big Don’s mini golf and am really glad that I jumped on the opportunity. My Groupon included one game of mini golf and one maze entrance (for two) for $15...after a promotional coupon code the total cost was $12. To make a sweet deal sweeter, I had a Groupon gift card so it cost us nothing! We decided to visit Big Don’s late on an Saturday afternoon...when we arrived there were only a few cars in the parking lot which gave us a brief moment of pause because there were some “not so flattering reviews” on line that we were concerned about. We went up to the main “lodge” and presented our Groupon. The young lady working the window, although looking very hot, was extremely pleasant when explaining everything. We opted to play golf first. Before hitting the course I used the restroom. I was a bit disappointed to see that there was wet paper towel all over the floor and in the toilet but it otherwise it looked clean. Mini golf was a lot of fun and the course was very well maintained. There were trash cans and benches throughout the course; something I haven’t seen as regularly at other establishments. We did notice a couple of water bottles under bushes or next to benches but it was nothing I would blame on the staff as that is plain laziness on the part of patrons (same with the bathrooms). Our favorite part of the course was the spinners... there’s nothing like watching someone trying to play mini golf while standing on one leg! We loved the carved animal statues and piped in wilderness noises. The waterfall was a really neat addition as well. We’re not sure how the Yeti statue fit in amongst the moose, eagle, and bear statues but it was worth a chuckle. After golf we opted to cool down with an ice cream cone. The same girl working the activities window was also working the snack window. My husband and I both decided on a small twist. Each cone was only $2 and the serving size was impressive to say the least. When we were waiting for our cone we noticed another employee scrubbing picnic tables with a brush and soapy water. As a side note, thank you Big Don for having the courtesy making a drinking fountain available to your customers! There’s nothing like being active outside and being forced to buy water! To end our date we headed into the maze (opting for the difficult course). It was a lot of fun! We didn’t break any records and we were more than happy to walk away with two pieces of candy for our constellation prize. Despite becoming a very humid and busy afternoon, the staff was very pleasant, attentive and professional. There were so many other activities available but I can’t comment on those as we didn’t try any of them. We did hear some people playing laser tag... they seemed to be having a great time and a family came out of the maze area completely drenched in water and talking about how much fun they had squirting each other. The establishment was well kept for such a small staff. Patrons just need to be more aware of the fact that trash goes in the can...not on the ground. We spent about an hour an a half on site and it was well worth the $4 spent on ice cream cones!

met friends here on a VERY hot July 4th & everyone (ages 7, 5 teens, 4 adults) had a "really great time" mini golfing, collecting clues in the maze, & playing outdoor laser tag (teens only)- many different environments for tag (wooded, open, hidden...). With all the activities, you could be here 1-4+ hrs or have lunch & make it a full day. Everyone was really nice & really cared about us having fun, i.e. since it was super hot- they gave everyone free water throughout the day, turned on a sprinkler for the sweaty laser taggers, also took the time to fully explain their laser equipment. The sprinkler also created a breeze under their large pavilion which was a nice place for the non-players to hang out & eat. Laid back & friendly. Can get pricey- * *check Groupons- we used several with no problem. Great place for individuals or roomy & fun enough for large groups (i.e. sports teams or multiple families)
