It is a very large mall so wear walking shoes if you plan on shopping.
Not much here for me as I basically only let my wife drag me to a mall if I need clothes or peruse music store offerings.
Just about everything is overrated like all of Erie County.
Offers a good location and good selection of music stores, that's about all.
Clothing and shoe stores are too expensive as are all restaurants with greedy waitstaffs.
I don't understand why they tried to charge me sales tax on clothing. NYS is supposed to be tax free on clothing. Oh I forgot, it's Erie County! Guess someone has to pay for all of their overpaid, underworked county employees. I guess Gayle Burstein needs more costume jewelry so she deserves $404,000+ annual.
The only things in Buffalo that are huge are imaginations and taxes.
Go to Erie, Pa mall. Tax-free clothing, nice selections of stores, and only 6% tax on things that should be taxed.

False claim, the Walden Galleria Mall page states they have a nursing lounge and they do not! They have a family restroom with no place to sit and a diaper changing area with a curtain that also doesn’t have a place to sit. They do have a community room that appears to be for rent for events, if they i tended to use this as the nursing lounge there is no signage stating that. When planning trips with an infant it would be nice if the mall actually offered what they say they offer.

The two ladies working, one of them had red hair and her name was cheyenne. They both unlocked the door while my friend and I were changing.. without knocking. They told us we had to ask to get a checking room before walking into one. But we walked in when other girls walked out, which is what every other girl in line did. They said “it’s our policy” but we asked where and they didn’t have it written down. It was only in their mouths. They said we aren’t allowed to check out but she’s being nice and letting us. She was not in fact nice. They also said everyone snitched on us, which was not true. She told my mom and I that we had no respect. And she was yelling at other girls that only 2 people could be in a room and told them she will wait outside the door for them. Which was also not written anywhere. My experience was a 0/0 if that was a choice.

We finally were able to cross the border from Ontario into the U.S., without having to do a covid test to return. We were shocked to say the least at the current state of the Galleria. Many favourite spots no longer there that have been affected by Covid I'm sure. The worst part was it has become a teen hangout. Not shopping, just crowds of teens with nothing to do but hangout in a mall. Was also hoping for some decent deals on the first weekend with no testing but definitely not the case. Found the outlet mall in Niagara Falls, NY much more enjoyable.

It was a very nice mall. Still a lot of stores and not a lot of empty ones like a lot of malls. I saw a movie and walked around some. Lots only places to eat as well. And not crowded.

Store selection was great! They had local vendors upon arrival promoting homemade products. Even got to see a couple Lamas! Only thing I was expecting more of a selection for the food court. Felt limited to options.

So many think this place is so great. Nice facility but parking availability is horrendous. Many dining choices but all over-priced. Apple Store has deceitful personnel. Accessibility is tough even though convenient to Thruway. Oh, and the tax! Not only is 8 7-8 outrageous, they charge county share on clothes! Uncalled for except for the fact county gov't is clueless and overplays their employees then cries they're broke. Place is typical of Buffalo mindset. Only gets two stars because music stores are not rip-offs and facility is clean. Shop in Erie. Nice mall, tax-less clothing and 6% otherwise. Many dining options at affordable prices, too. Steer clear of Buffalo-anything. Proliferating poor, greedy gov't will not solve the problem here. Won't return or ever recommend.

Just wondered if anyone else has noticed the floor shaking on the second floor at Macy’s at the galleria mall in Buffalo. Specifically in the ladies shoe department. It’s very disconcerting and I wonder if this is normal or something dangerous that is being ignored.

Shopping at the Walden Galleria is a fun experience if you don't find what you at the price you were hoping for. The staff will usually advise you of an upcoming sale if you give them the respect they deserve for their efforts if the price on an item in any of the shops.
I AM AMAZED HOW MUCH SO MANY CROSS BORDER SHOPPING CANADIANS WHINE about the exchange rate.
Walden GALLERIA and the Niagara Outlet Mall are GREAT MALLs FOR CANADIANS to shop.
Walden has the best customer service over all and you are inside for your entire shopping experience. There is even covered parking which is great all year.
Best of all: you get a better exchange rate than the Canadian Banks offer when shopping or eating. You won't get that on the other side of the river.
If you are smart you will go online get coupons for your favorite stores or buy the Buffalo News, for added value.
I have shopped the Galleria for over 25 years and must say the staff work extremely hard, the washrooms and food court are clean.
I don't think that in that time there more than three occasions I did not find a clerk available when I needed help in any of stores. You won't find the young people on at the cash or on the floor more interested in texting and tweeting than providing customer service.
I shop for myself and for wife when I am there and even shop with her when she is not shopping with her friends.
The proximity to the airport makes it ideal for that last minute gift we may have forgotten to obtain for a friend when flying out of or into Buffalo International.
If you want to save time getting into the mall on the weekends from the east bound I-90 turn left on Walden and not right go under the bridge and enter through the back.
From Transit Rd come in from the driveway opposite the TOPs next to the school or if West Bound take the ramp on the right before you come to the lights at Walden you will come under the I90 as a result of doing so and you will also be closer to the covered parking. This route has the least amount of traffic into the mall.
I like the Mall, the staff, the service and find something about 75% to 80% of the time at a great price.
BTW: There are numerous ATMs throughout the Mall if you need a little extra cash.

is it worth shopping coming from Canada, considering the low currency exchange
Written March 18, 2017
The US has really good sales and even if things aren't cheaper there is a much bigger variety. I love US shopping!

Hi Mike,
Walden Galleria does not have motorized scooters, but we do have complimentary wheelchairs available. Please visit the Customer Service desk to rent one. Located on the upper level near Macy's. Thank you!

When will you be CLEANING the food court?
Written September 18, 2016
Didn't eat in the food court. We like the other restaurants that are outside the mall. There is a really cool brew pub as well as Cheesecake Factory.

We allow service pets in the center; some retailers may have additional restrictions. Thank you!
