They have most of the top brands in this outlet mall. Well worth the long drive for great bargains. My wife and I found great items at Prada. Ferragamo was a bit of a let down.

Went here on our second to last day in new york. Would definitely say it's worth it, however ran out of time very quickly as the place is so large and you spend a lot of time walking to each shop. There is a lot...More

We booked tickets with Gray line, leaving Port Authority bus station at 7.15 am ( there are lots of buses leaving throughout the day travelling to Woodbury but we went early as we didn’t want to spend the whole day there). The trip took around...More

My first visit to Woodbury was back in the early 2000`s and I have visited almost every year since. Unfortunately as the physical appearance of the centre has improved and grown over the years, the value for money has dropped off. Bargains are few and...More

Anytime you visit the outlet you will enjoy the discounts, however shopping before the 25th is the best time ! Get also the outlet map, it has coupons with special discounts for some outlets.

Unless the only purpose of yoru trip is to shop, then I personally think it's very foolish to spend half of your time in the city travelling out to an outlet when you can get just about everything there inside the city, without having to spend the time and money to travel all the way out there. You will almost certainly find that after paying for transportation you haven't saved any money over the discount stores in New York.

Hi could someone please give me some advise on the following: 1. between the 2 above mentioned outlet centers, which one has better deals and better quality stuff (clothes, bags, shoes etc.) 2. I will be staying in Hoboken, New Jersey, which is the nearest Woodbury outlet/ Tanger outlet to where i am staying? 3. What is the fastest way to get to the nearest woodbury/ tanger outlet? approx how long is the journey? Thanks for the help!

Outlet Shopping (5 Replies)
Hi, I am deciding to go either Outlet shopping at Las Vegas (Las Vegas Premium Outlets) or New york (Woodbury Common Premium Outlets). Anybody can give recommendation? Which one got better deal? Should i also consider the sales tax difference for both places? Thanks.

Either would be a good choice. Woodbury is a long and quite pricey bus ride from Manhattan, going there literally takes one entire day. Both are "outdoor" malls, consider the season when you decide. Visiting Woodbury in winter or the LV Premium in summer are not so great due to cold/heat. I would shop at the end of a trip, to keep from having to carry the extra weight of purchases. Consider possible excess baggage charges if you're doing a lot of shopping. I'm sure others will chime in...More
